I was joking around with a couple of coworkers about a small toy doll, calling it a Voodoo doll. We joked about it bringing bad luck to a coworker we don’t like. Somehow, the word got back to the coworker we don’t like and now he is suing! I’ve apologized to him for the misunderstanding, but he still wants his day in court. I’m spellbound!

A guy was sent down for 15 years for running around with a gun shooting innocent people, saying he wanted to shoot all blacks!
I personally feel this is an insult to the victims, and totally crazy to let such a headcase out into society ever again, does anyone have an opinion on this??? Or has the law REALLY become a complete a***?!

I have full physical custody of my daughter who is 7. Her biological father comes like once a month. He didn't have anything to do with her until she turned 4 because he had quit working for school so they adjusted his child support so that he would have to pay more then $150.00 a month. After her 4th Birthday, his child support was raised so he decieded to get me back by decieding to actually start being in his child's life. I have stopped talking to him and still allow him to see his daughter whenever he wants and talk to her when he calls but he is mad because he claims that by me not talking to him, it is causing my daughter stress which it isn't. I also have voice messaging. Am I obligated to talk to him, if I don't prevent him from seeing my daughter, and if he tries to take me to court for custody, can he obtain it even though I have full custody? He lost a job 4 months ago, child support had been reduced, now he has a job and is paying more so back to court he claims we will go

A child of one of my acquaitances was beaten and verbally abused by other children at school. His parents are forced to transfer the child-who has learning disabilities and needs constant assistance-to another school or in the worst cases to keep him at home.
Is there any legal way of suing forexample the school (as we all know bullies will not be touched)?

This is something that she did shortly after she turned 18 and only for a couple months. She says she usually made over $100 an hour and the most she ever made in a night was around $2,500. It was $20 a dance and a dance lasted a 1 song, which is approx. 4-5 minutes. By my calulation thats 20-25 minutes of dancing. What happens during the other 40 minutes? First she said she never let anyone touch her, she never touched anyone, and never took her bottoms off. Then her story changed to she only took her bottoms off on the third stage for "like a minute" and she would sit in a good looking guys lap and talk to them. What are the tricks of the trade to make this much money strictly "air dancing"? Can you do it? I don't think she went home with anyone or anything like that. But I'm a good looking guy and I've been to strip clubs years back, and almost everytime the dancers touch my crotch with at least one part of there body and asked me if I wanted a dance.Did she do these things?

My boyfriend just got back from prison in august of 2006
He was charged with possesion of a controlled substance, (meth), and spent 6 months in the idaho department of corrections. He ran into his P.O today and his P.O wants to have him take a hair follicle test. Which im guessing he will fail because at this point in time he has been occasionally smoking pot, he hasnt been doing any other drugs, but obviously he has a record so it might be worse. Does anyone have a guess on how much jail time do you think he might get?

I recently found out I have a ticket from 2004 that I did not finish paying on out of Grand Prairie. There is going to be a class c misdemeaner warrant round up March 3-10. I do not have the money to pay the ticket + fines in full, but have sent them some money to pay on it. My question is will Johnson county be participating in this round up?

Wouldn't it be must nicer if money didn't exist?

If everything in life was free, wouldn't that be much better? If everyone could learn to share, wouldn't that be much nicer?

I understand that if everything was free, then nobody would work.

However, the government could make it a law that each person worked 6-8 hours a day, Monday to Friday.

If everything belonged to everyone, then theft would be impossible, and no longer exist. There would be no need for any more banks, and no more paper work. No more stress of paying bills. No more stress of losing money. No more having to sell your old car to buy a new car. No more advertisements on TV, newspapers, et cetera. The world would be simplified, people would learn to share, and work.

It would make everything so much better. You could park your car anywhere, and drive any other car you find on the road, home, since everyone owned all cars.

You would give more, and recieve more. It would work, I see no reason why not.

Do they receive any punishment? Say a guy has a gun to their head and they can't do anything but try and take the gun and kill him. If the person is successful in this endeavor, are they punished? If they're not punished, what is a customary action for the police and/or coroner to take? ....If it can be proven that it was all in self-defense and there was no way out....

I have to do a term paper for my History class about Thomas Jefferson and his domestic issues/political policies and how his decisons went against his principles but were beneficial to the nation and vice versa. This is my introduction, tell me what u think and how i can change it to make it better:

Thomas Jefferson: the third president of our United States, author of the Declaration of Independence, former governor of Virginia, author of the Virginia statue for religous freedom, and much much more. Despite these great accomplishments, Jefferson also made decisions that were not considered honorable and virtuous in the eyes of the people. During his presidency, Jefferson made decisions that were considered to be "political suicide" and also made him look like a hypocrite. For example, Jefferson preached equal rights for man yet was a slave owner himself. He also refused to suport Hamilton's idea of a National Bank but he was suffering (check the additonal details)

does anyone else agree that american judges are probably the most unprofessional in the world. allowing cameras into a court room is disgusting and is illegal for good reasons in britain. sometimes I think they just pay people off the street and give them a cloak and hammer. it is pathetic compared to the british legal system.

What I do?

The thing is it was a concert ticket for second row and then later I bid and won a front row ticket for the same concert so I no longer want the second row ticket.

On top of that the seller of the second row ticket was really kind to me because I asked him if he could wait a couple of weeks until payday for me to buy the tickets and he was really nice about it.

What happens if I don't pay? Is it that serious?

A jerky postal worker with an attitude just rang my doorbell to ask my husband not to write on other people's mail, because "it's a federal offense." This is mail that was incorrectly delivered to us (shocking, I know), and my husband had written "Not at this address, please return to sender" on it or something similar. I was too pissed off at his attitude to question the postal worker about how you're supposed to handle incorrectly delivered mail but am dubious about his "federal offense" reasoning and think he was just having a bad day and wanted to be a pissy jerk to someone.

My fiance works in a catering business. A new man has been hired and he's constantly hitting on her, asking her out and such. My fiance didn't want to say anything due to not wanting to cause trouble at work, but it's causing problems at work, and at home. I called her boss to speak with her about this man and the next day, my fiance is threatened with being fired over my actions. I wasn't rude or anything. So my question is, is there anyplace I can report her employer to for this? I'm pretty sure, it's not right to threaten to fire a woman if she says something about being harassed. Can I call the police about it, the labor board or what? Any ideas? (I live in Indiana...and failing this, I'm hunting the guy down to beat him to within an inch of his life)

I used to work for a corrupt debt collection company.

They are scaremongering the debtors and saying that they will send solicitors letters... the main manager is making it look to the debtors that he is a solictor.... I have never heard him say a legal term while I was there or go to court!

This company are claming to send solicitors letters when they do not have solictiors!

If you are a true solicitor, when you send out letters, you charge for them dont you?

What do you think?
