Yes, but this is probably not economically viable. Given that rent would probably be collected in kind (sesame seeds, cake crumbs, dried peas, caterpillars, etc.), and given the high rate of the US dollar against the caterpillar, administrative costs would likely outweigh any potential profit margin. It would probably be more viable to require that the ants provide services in exchange for board (electrical repairs, plumbing, minor redecorating, etc.).
