I don't know the exact word for kinnars/hijdas in english. my q is they r there in the whole world but as they earn in India it is disgusting. they r literally running an extortion racket in our country.
If u don't pay them when there is some function/good news at ur house, they even open their clothes and create a scene. they threaten to kill u and use vulgar lang.
police does not have the guts to interfere. WHY?

Sounds like they're some creepy cult.
India's police doesn't have the traditional corruption problems that other countries have. Instead, their cops are worried about getting their families endangered because everyone's willing to talk to anyone at the right price over there.
