I do not believe that a child molestor can ever be reformed to the point that he doesn't want to molest kids, any more than an alcoholic can ever be reformed not to want a drink.

I think it IS possible for both the pedophile and the alcoholic to resist those urges given time and support.

However, since the damage done by a pedophile should he 'slip' in his 12-step program is so horrible to the kids he molests, I think as matter of policy, we should treat them as though they can never be reformed.

properly, first you will no longer be able to lump the term intercourse criminal with newborn molester. a newborn molester is a kind of intercourse criminal, no longer any incorrect way around. i think of that some intercourse offenders could be reformed, yet no longer newborn molesters. If a co-worker tells you which you have a intense-high quality butt. this is a style of intercourse offense. You have been indignant by potential of that assertion. He can study to no longer say that lower back. a newborn molester is an entire different ball game. That guy or woman is sexually attracted too toddlers and which could no longer substitute. With treatment nor chemical castration.

There are many convicted child molesters that are NOT guilty of the crime even with a "conviction". Some people do a plea bargain because they can not afford good legal representation and if a court appointed lawyer is used, it almost assures a conviction.

There are others that are and will not be charged with a crime because no one believes they can do something like this. Who are these people? They are women and they molest children far more then most realize. Just as in domestic violence, they are often not charged. The mother of my own granddaughter molested her but she was not charged. She got away with it. The police even admitted that if my son did what she did, he would have been arrested on the spot.

We do know there are real molesters that do horrible things to children. I work with dozens of men and women who were sexually abused (often by their mothers) in Shattered Men. Can their abuser change?

Look at this:

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

But look at the next verse:

And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

When a person really places their trust in the LORD they are made a new person.

This is a desies of the mind and not of an sexual act. Remove the brain and you will remove the offender. There is no reform,and when someone violates a child they should never be allowed to walk the street to ever hurt another,the violaters act is for a momment,the childs is for life.

According to statistic the number of child molesters that have been reformed is equal to the number of politicians that always tell the truth (not the truth as they believe it).

No, I don't believe that is true in the majority of cases. It's a very dangerous addiction, and very few people ever realize their wrong in enough time to see the damage they've done (aka be sane and neutral) so most of the time, they regress back to pervious bad behaviour once they've done their jail time...which is sad but true. Perhaps if we had appropriate sex addiction related rehabilitation centers? hmm.

I do not think sex offenders can be reformed, at least I have heard of no success story concerning this.

That's a good question. I believe that some people can change their behaviors. Look at Judge Brown he used to be a trouble boy and now hes in control of deciding punishments for others.

once a child predator always a child predator.there is something wrong in their head a chemical em balance or some crap like that.i think they touch a kid once they will do it again.castration might be they only way.i say chop-chop
