In the State of Connecticut their asking the QUESTION - Should students, many of whom were brought here illegally by their parents, be allowed to go to a state college and pay the lower in state tuition rather than the much higher rate that students from out of state pay?

WTNH’s Blog (http://wtnh.tv/blogs/index.php/anchors/2007/02/23/p638#more638) poses the question above – I feel this should not just be a Statewide question but something brought to a National Level…. Click into their blog above and give them your answer or post them here and I will link you over.

So - What do you all think and feel about this very realistic question????

I heard, this morning, that the cost of the Olympic Games in England in 2012 had quadrupled. If you or I asked for a job to be done and got an estimate, this would be our fault because an estimate is just what it says. However, I always ask for a quotation, there being a very big difference. Why does a Government not do this, after all if I was to get a job done and it cost me 4 times as much as quoted, I would be bankrupt!
Is it a way to hand taxpayers money to the contractors and is this a pre-detemined strategy?

Usually, we see many projects are being planned, disscussed, put in drawings and started by one govt. And, at the start of the project or in the middle of it, if the said Govt. become a former one, when some other party comes to power, usually the started project attain to a stand still point, due to non-supply of funds or some other scam reasons! It always hurts only the public! For example in our area an huge over bridge work started by one Govt. and it was going dead-slow when compared to other bridge works, and stopped by another new govt. stating the suspection the quality of bridge and a scam in it!
Again the old Govt came to power, after a long thought, they started again the bridge work with old rusted iron bars and dilapated reinforced concrete, exposed to atmospheric condition for several years!! Public are severly struggling due to the delay in executions, confusions in traffic diversions, etc 4 decades! IN OTHER COUNTRIES, FRIENDS! HOW YOUR GOVT. REACTS TO PUBLIC ISSUES?

this guy who lives in my dorm building got extremely wasted one night (he's18). he got really violent and threatend/tried to kill the girl who lives across the hallway cause he hates her, but she ran into her room and locked the door. he went into the lounge and trashed the place, throwing couches around and stuff. she called cava, the schools medical service for drunk people but he resisted them so they left and called the police. he resisted the police to so they beat him down and cuffed him. he was cursing like crazy, spitted on their faces, and taunted the female cop as she punched him in the face "keep punching me *****, i'll get you fired." finally they subdued him after beating the crap out of him. he's in school now but his court hearing is next week. what do u think will be the verdict?

How does everbody about the government is treating the free american people. Im writing this comment to see what kind of response I get. You stop and think about how the people of this country used to live. We were able to get our car without a seatbelt. We were aload to go have a beer without having to worry about the man ready to haul you off to jail.We were able to afford a car, insuranceand GASOLINE without staving, that was before our Pres and Vice Pres decided to control the price of gasoline. It's getting to the point that your a prisoner in your own home. This country at one time was run by the people for the people THATS A JOKE ! in todays standerds. Today your not allowed to protect your own home without the whole world knowing. What ever happen to the good old UNITED STATES OF AMERICA THE HOME OF THE FREEEEEEEE! Im just one frustrated and DISCUSSTED AMERICAN CITIZEN that was born ,raised and educated to love thy country. I DO BELONG HERE.

Should a man be able to say he doesn't want a child and doesn't want to be a father even after having unprotected sex. Should a man be able to terminate his rights? Women can terminate the pregnancy, thus not producing a child or the need to be obligated and responsble for a child. Should her actions dictate what a man has to do? Should her options be a man's obligation? Is it ok that the court enforces men to have children (financial responsiblility) but won't force women to have children? Single women adopt children all the time. If women want to have children w/o the father, if they want to be the sole decision maker on the subject, why would you make a man pay for her decision? I am not saying you should make abortion illegal but if you did, then the field would be level and if she got pregnant, they both would be obligated from that point, not just one. If a man gives a woman $20K and she puts that on a house, that man is not obligated or responsible for that house.

that they should realize she needs to be left alone to get her head together. I don't pity her, she got the life she wanted, married a man and had 2 kids with him knowing how he is; but the paparazzi need to BACK OFF. They aren't helping her any. I think that if they continue doing this that she will actually try to commit suicide, like the rumors say she already has. And while that is great for the magazines it's bad for her, her kids and her family.

How much responsibility do you think the paparazzi should hold in this? And do you think it's time to put some laws down that limits the amount of stalking these paparazzi should be allowed?

Is it fair, When someone go's to work all his life and has manage to buy a lovely home should be finedfor doing so by paying more than his nieghbour because he did not bother to work and lived off the state for most of his working life, because he/she chose not to.
If you look at it right we all get the same services from the local goverment so we all pay the same, not more because you worked hard to get what you got, and not sat on your backside most of your working life. it should not be worked out by the size of your property it's so unfair.
