It's funny that no one answered your question. To have toy guns banned, you would need to have a law passed to that effect. It would be a very difficult (if not impossible) thing to do. There are already organizations that oppose violent toys and video games, and they do lobby for laws ni state legislatures and, perhaps Washington. I would join one of those organizations. Just search around on the internet until you find one that fits you, and join up. This is the best way to advocate for your cause because it is practically impossible to have a law made single-handedly. It's going to take research (re why toys guns are harmful, how you know, how it would affect the economy, if such interference with the market would be justified by the purported good that would come of it, if it is Constitutional (based on the commerce clause). A lot of questions have to be answered and not single person has the resources to find all the answers. Good luck in your endeavor. Though I don't necesarilly agree with your platform (Never really thought about it), you have the right to influence the legislative process as we all do.

And why would you want to do that? That would be completely pointless and impossible. Even if you could not buy toy guns children would just make there own toy guns out of whatever they can. If you think you can stop violence with such a petition, you can't. You need to try a different route.

Get real....toy guns do not make our children violent. Parental control and responsibility is the parent's responsibility, not the governments.

Fatherless homes, children left alone to watch violent TV, mothers who are too busy working, dating and making 'a life for herself' at the expense of quality time with her children.

You want to kill a fly when there are drugs, monsters in human form out there, corrupt computer sites, pornography, violence, rape, torture and murder on TV. and these are all considered freedom of speech. Take a look at the real issues.

i presumed all sorts of weapons have been already banned in australia. i got here across an editorial indicating that people have been unable to safeguard themselves against Zombies using a ban on nerf weapons. So in case you prefer the Zombie Horde to win, pass forward and ban the nerf gun, yet whilst the people could stay to tell the story, we could continuously recommend secure open carry rules for semi-computerized Nerf weapons, in all probability alongside with the attack rifle / highway sweeper sort. Zombies attack in super packs so rapid hearth is needed and proper.

Will you also ban pointing of fingers? When I was a child, if I didn't have a toy gun, I used my fingers or made one with a stick. Would you ban that, as well?

This ALWAYS works - Don't buy them. Money is always better than a petition.
