If you have not worked, you aren't required to file taxes. And you can claim her as a dependant if she's been in your home 6 months of the year or more.

INcome tax returns are require of persons who had reportable income exceeding the exclusion thresholds. If your daughter did not have income, she does not need to file.
Note that she can have reportable taxable income from sources other than working (e.g. interest and dividends; sales of assets). Tax filing requirements are determined by taxable income, not employment status.

Usually if she hasn't worked at all, she shouldn't have to file (like she did not work at all ever). Once you have a 'record' then you have to.
Taxes on income ARE unconstitutional.

as long as you made under X-amount of money you do not need to file. I know in MI it is $500 and Federal is like $1000

Yes, she needs money.By the age 14 all the kids goes to work.So she needs to go to work and have money so she can't have to beg you for money.So she needs to go to work.
