I work for a supervisor that tries to run our workplace like a plantation. He talks down to people and harass employees wherever he interacts with them. He has truly created a hostile working environment. Please Help! Is there a legal remedy for this behavior?

In the middle of January, my parish's/school's priest retired after 11 years here. He was in his 60's or so. In the newspaper, there was a story about a family that wanted him "punished" somehow because sometimes he would describe people a little racially. For example, he may call a little girl "blondie" or an Asian "chopstick" during Mass, because that's just how he is. He is NOT racist, though. This family decided to go public with their opinion. They thought he was purposely lashing out at students and was giving them a bad image. The family tried to call the archdiocese and get the priest punished somehow, even after he's retired. Do you think this old priest should be in trouble for something he didn't really mean to do? Or do you agree with the family? Please give your opinion. THANKS!

I think it's great because it keeps my crazy wife from getting a gun. I swear if she had one she would have gone on a shooting rampage by now.

Men are stronger than women for a good reason. Women get all moody (especially my wife) and let their emotions control them all the time. They need men to restrain them once in a while and keep them from impulsively doing something they would regret later.

Guns disrupt this balance, because anybody can shoot a gun. People shouldn't have guns, especially women. What do you think?

2,360 Suspects in Global Child Porn Ring
By VERONIKA OLEKSYN, AP

VIENNA, Austria (Feb. 7) - Austrian authorities said Wednesday they have uncovered a major international child pornography ring involving more than 2,360 suspects from 77 countries, including hundreds in the United States, who paid to view videos of young children being sexually abused.

The children were under the age of 14 and screams could be heard, said Harald Gremel, an Austrian police expert on Internet crime who headed the investigation.

Interior Minister Guenther Platter said the FBI was investigating about 600 of the suspects in the United States. German authorities were following leads on another 400 people, France was looking into about 100 others, and at least 23 suspects were Austrians, he said.

Platter said videos downloaded from the Internet and seized by Austria's Federal Criminal Investigations Bureau included images that showed "the worst kind of child sexual abuse."

Gremel said "girls could be seen being raped, and you could also hear screams." Although officials initially said the children ranged in ages from "0 to 14," Gremel later said no infants were seen in the videos.

i had a friend ask a question i'm not sure how to answer. he works as a mover, and while on a job, the customer he was moving started shouting and swearing at him. While he didn't go into detail, the word he used (and he really doesn't know much english), was descrimation, stating the person was commenting on the way he looked and talked.

my friend is really upset at this guy, and wants to sue, but he's unsure how to proceed.

If anyone reading this can help, i'd appreciate it.

thanks,
Rpoteat

In today's courtrooms, issues are brought up that many jurors admit they don't understand. Forensics, especially, has become very sophisticated and complex. Lack of knowledge and understanding on the juror's part could potentially be the difference in life or death for a person. Jurors are just folks like you and me, and I know I might be intimidated by a trial and all the details if I was asked to serve. Do you think there should be professional jurors as opposed to lay people? Professionals could be trained in all aspects of forensics, the science of DNA, psychology, human behavior, etc.

So, I was finishing a school project on my mom's laptop. I mistakenly opened a Word document entitled "You," instead of my homework, which was similarly titled.

"You" was an angry letter from my mom to my dad. It accused him of various shortcomings that I didn't know existed, including of him being alcoholic. As far as I know, he barely drinks at all.

She was either extremely angry or under PMS. The latter seems unlikely, considering she's 54 and post-menopausal.

I blew "You" away, eradicating it and even running a search for duplicates, before covering my tracks. There were none, but I can't rule out hard copies. It will NEVER see the light of day.

Should I have deleted it?

The instruction on an escrow trust asked the notary to complete an attestation clause. I'm a California notary and I'm not familiar with that type of notarization. Is it the same as an acknowledgment? The wordings on that "attestation" is different from the state required acknowledgment wordings.

Ok, so my father passed in march of 2006.
He had a buisness.
and 2 houses
he left an unsigned will so it wasnt valid
and my aunt became the executor of estate

anyways

the buisness was sold
and one of the houses is being sold

what I want to know is this.....
I found out that in the end the money from everything goes into an account called "the estate" ran by my aunt.....does this mean she can give money to my brother and sister and screw me over with nothing?

Also the buisness was sold without me signing anything, my aunt signed the purchase agreement, and by brother signed as a witnes is what I was told....does this sound right?

My husband works at Wal-Mart part-time. He went to the doctors today and they told him that he had to be off of work until March 1. He took the note into work and the personel managers had left so he left the note in the office and went and told his department manager. She said that they would have to approve it or deny it and to check back in tomarrow. Can they deny it? I would think that if he had a doctor's note telling him to take off work, they couldn't dispute that and make him work. Would they have grounds to fire him if he refused to go back in until March 1?

He told his parole officer when he talk to him and told him he wasnt there when he went because he was at work, and told him that he didnt know he was coming or he would have home and his parole officer was told this info from the first time he showed up and my bf wasnt home, and my bf told him to either come by before 6 am or after 6pm or he can let him know when he is going to be there so he can let his boss know and he can get another tech for the job. what can he do to get this cleared up, the p.o. is being a jerk cant I write the parole board or something?

My husband took my son to Supercuts and the person that cut his hair also cut my son and left him bleeding right behind his ear. Now my husband didn't notice it. He just quickly glanced at his hair from the front and paid the lady and even tipped her and then they came home. Once they got home I ofcourse inspected his haircut, (just as any mother would) and was upset to see that he had a glob of blood that was beginning to crust right behind his ear. It was only obvious she had cut him with the clippers. My son is very bashful. As a matter of fact he is the type of person who gets very quiet when he gets hurt. He keeps it to himself. So I'm really not surprised that he didn't say anything while they were still there. I just couldn't believe that she never mentioned it at all. She even took a tip. I would have expected her to have let my husband know so that it could be cleaned and tended to right away. How many others has she cut with those clippers? What about aids? Can I sue?

I am against abortion, but I can't help feeling sorry for rape victims. I was thinking that if the rape is solved, should the Church then allow an abortion? I feel bad that the victims have to live through the pregnancy, and then either live with the child that reminds them of what happened, or give up the child in adoption.
