In order to back up my point of view for a debate as well as a speech I need actual stories of victims of recidivism or repeat offenders. Any crime but I had only been able to find one site with a bunch of them in one place but I lost the web address and have been unsuccessful with my feverish searching for it or one again for the past 4 days. Please help. I'm so frustrated and about to accept a bad grade on it instead of taking in this frustration. Please don't bash me with saying I should do my own research because I have for 3 weeks. Even if you can not find anything on the web a story you just know will be just a good. Please include Web address if possible. Thank you SO much!

My Grandmother passed away 3-1-06 and my Grandfather 12-8-06 they had some $ Not sure how much, I do know about 3 years ago 2 of my uncles talked my grandfather into giving them each $100,000 EACH, to "hold"on to in the event they had to go into a nursing home. I know there were other type of funds too, property, maybe life insurance, cd's. I am not sure what else. My question is what would be the procedure to start an investigation without involving a lawyer, is there state laws.? 1 Uncle took care of my grandparents for about 3-4 years in Florida, not in the same home they were self sufficient till they died. They stole jewelry they knew belonged to other family member as well and all personal property

Ok so heres the story-

June 2006 - Sat. morning walk to car to get in for work and discover writing in pink lipstick all over the window, a heart drawn with an arrow through and my live in boyfriend of 5 years initials.

Nasty emails off and on throughout the rest of 2006..on myspace and no way to track them.

Dec. 31st/Jan. 1st- tires are slit on my new car so perfectly that they werent flat when i got in it, but blew out dangerously when i drove it. police took note of this and i told them about prior incidents.

Jan 2nd- hear a car door slam at 1:30 in the morning, so i run outside and see nothing, check my backup car (the one with slit tires is in the shop being safety checked), and now there another heart in lipstick all over the window.

Jan 3rd- boyfriend car gets a heart drawn on it in lipstick.

Cant figure out who it is, nobodys seen nothing, no tracks, no nothing. took pictures of everything and police wrote down incident with slashed tires.

What can i do?

I live in Canada and smoking is legal which is a huge problem in my opinion. I understand that there are unimaginable sums of money made from sin taxes, but why should non-smokers be exposed to toxic chemicals from cigarettes (polonium & radium (radioactve!), lead, benzopyrene and nitrosamine). Hasn't the government realized that we all share the same air, and that polluting it makes a toxic environment for everybody? Second hand smoke is nearly as dangerous as first hand and chemicals travel and can cause such deadly diseases as lung cancer, which has a mortality rate of 88% in Canada! I know that if smoking were banned it would become a part of the black market- but isn't it possible that some people will get the picture and finally stop smoking! This is driving me crazy-smoking is addictive, and lots of people who smoke can't kick the habit, but why can't the government do something about. Why should I have to sacrifice my quality of air for tax money made from cigarettes?

I got a traffic ticket in Texas and called the court house to settle it. When I called, they could not find the ticket. I kept calling for about 2 months and no one could ever find it. I just assumed it was never turned in and so did the clerk I was talking with. We moved to another state about a year later and then all of a sudden, I get a letter in the mail saying that because these tickets were never paid, I had this insane fee and my license had been suspended. My question is, can I get a license in the new state without it being attached to Texas?

Imagine . . .
I am a black man living a small white community in northern cal, I used to own my own limo service and teen club; I was a very respected member of my community by everyone but local pd. I was sent to prison for a weapon found in my limo that was accessable to all public. I've been out of prison for 3 years, successfully completed parol and began rebuilding my life. On my way to a Taco Bell drive-thru, with 2 passengers, I was pulled over for no front license plate...I was drug tested...passed...no big deal, when I returned to the same block as my first stop I was pulled over again.

I often see just the word "Spices" on food labels. If somebody has an allergy against a spice, the person does not know if the spice is in the food. On a plum wine label was no information, that cherry is an ingredient. I just thought it could be cherry because of the taste. At a buffet, they write down like "Tuna Salad", "Stuffed Paper", "Beef"..... etc. Sometimes they forget to write it down. They forgot to write down what kind of fish that is. A person with a sword fish allergy is in danger.

If a person has an allergy attack or even dies, is it possible to sue the restaurant because they forgot to write down what kind of fish they served, negligence? What about the food manufacturer? They keep ingredients a secret and endanger customers, knowingly. Can they be sued?

I stayed at a brand name motel that had an attached bar. I got drunk in the bar and then an employee of the motel slipped me a drug, took me to my room and raped me. Could I sue the motel or the company it's franchised through? By the way, I'm a grandfather, not a chick.

i am a FATHER w/phyiscal custody of my daughter for past 3 years when i took custody i stated in court no child support but that mom should pay half of all school things, now my fincial situtaion has changed drasticlly over 3 year period so i have asked dhs.child support recovery of IOWA to modify my case and for the mom to pay child support (she has nevr paid half of any school things)oh yeah the courts never put in papers where and when mom was to do her share of half school things, so no proof of this that she has helped..now my daughter is being penalized for never having any support to help pay her needs, i have seen her ask grandma for money for hygiene things even.. I feel all this run around with the state of IOWA is because i'm a man and not a woman, plus i make less than the mother does and she has no other kids to support or any obligations...how can this father get any help with receiving child support..WHY AM I BEING REFUSED...I CANT EVEN GET A CONFIDENTAL INTERVIEW.
