Is it possible to write a will in such a manner that my daughter (5 years old now) will get all my assets when she 18?

If I die now, I am sure that my in-laws will grab all my money. My wife is too innocent, she can not avoid that. So, I want my daughter to get money 13 years from now.

I will make sure that if I die today, I will have enough for my wife to live a comfortable life. But I want a good portion of assets to keep growing in funds and stocks and let my daughter get them when she is 18.

I know I should be talking to an attorney for this. But I just want to know if such a think is possible?

Also, I would like to write a letter to my daughter which should be given to her along with all this money, when she is 18. Is this possible?

None of my relatives is in US and I can not trust any friend. So, tell me do I have to assign a trustee for this money? If yes, then who can I assign?

Help guys.

My room mate and I are always pulling practical jokes on one another. To date, he's frozen my beer, placed all my underwear in a pan of water and froze it in the freezer, and even placed that practical joke non-tearing toilet paper in the bathroom.

Yesterday, I replaced his toothpaste with hemorrhoid cream. When he went to brush his teeth, his mouth puckered shut and stayed that way for a few hours. Now he won't even speak to me.

Did I go too far?

they keep calling even though I've told them they can't reach the person they want at my number, they said they will continue to call because I have no forwarding number to give them! help, they yell at me, interrupt constantly, and even called me a bad mother. they say they have every right to yell at me because I am "antagonizing" them! Their number keeps showing up as a blocked call, like my hubby's phone, so I can't not answer... Help, what do I do?

I'm in California, and you need to be 16 to get a license here. I'm not sure if all states follow that also, or not. I personally think that the driving age should be changed to 18. Admit it people...when you're in high school, all you think about is getting your license so you can go out with your friends, turn up the music, and drive around. Kids really are not as mature as they think they are at that age. And for me, safety is much more important than "looking cool". By the time people are 18, they have gotten over the whole driving thing, and typically mkae better decisions. This is not to say that college students and others don't drive drunk, etc. Besides, high school students don't NEED to drive. Their parents drive them to school and back home, or they get a ride from abnother parent, or walk or take the bus. I would fully support such a law to be placed in affect.

What do you think???

I have to go through a deposition (if i refuse they said they'd give me a subpoena) due to me witnessing/riding on a 4 wheeler accident in which one of my friends died....I would like to get out of it because my best friends family (the one who's daughter passed away) are sueing my best friends family (the owner of the 4wheeler) and I really dont want to get in the middle of it. So what is a deposition? What happens if I refuse to answer any questions but I still show up?? Thank you soo much.

I've read that in a couple years, at the current rate, Memphis will be the first metropolitan area to have a black majority. So if i were to start a buisness, would to be considered minority owned?

I came out of the shop this evening, and a traffic warden was printing a ticket out, as far as i am aware the warden must sign it place it in the yellow envelope and take a photo of it on my windscreen, as i climbed into my car she said, "its already been issued" i didnt even argue with her i just jumped in my car, as i did so she quickly ripped it off her printer and just tucked the ticket under my wiper, then tried to take a photo as i drove off. im sure im ok but just checking.

I am on probation for possession of pot. I suffer from depression and I have no car and no job (interviewing and thinking of going back to school). I missed one probation appointment because I tried to walk 10 blocks and my shoe broke. I had no phone to call. When I got to a phone I called but they said "too late" and revoked my probation. The atty who represented me the first time wants $750 which I would have to borrow to represent me. I have proof I had no phone, that I have no car, that I've paid my fines, done my community service and started my drug classes and only missed this one appointment (although the court papers say I've done none of the above) -- do I really need a high powered defense attorney or should I trust a public defender?

Our concern: we have let some friends try it out.....one of them asked us what was all in it. I asked him why was he having some allergic reactions or something? He stated no, he was just wondering what was all in it.

How do you protect yourself from someone stealing your "formula"/ideas?

I have been using a particular company's telephone service, and a few mothns after using them, I have found out that I was receiving extra charges from them. When I contacted the company about the matter, they claim that they could not find any additional charges linked to my account, however my credit card showed a different story. This has gone on for several months, and within that time I have even changed the credit card associated with the account. After which I have still received additional charges. Last month I contacted the company again, and finally someone who is not associated with their "overseas" call centers was able to help me, and point out that some unauthorized user was using my account to pay for their services, which resulted in additional lines being payed for by me. After trying to have this situation cleared up for well over year, and getting absolutely no where with the help of the mentioned company, can I sue them for negligence?

It was a friday night (12-29-06) in San Jose, my brother, and three of my cousins where heading home after the club at Taste. Yeah its true that we drink except for one of my cousin, she's our designated driver. On the way out, my brother had an argument with one of the bouncers and a fight broke out behind us and cops rushed in and arrest me, my brother and two of my cousins. We were not involved in the fight, yet we were arrested. I tried to explain to the cop, but he was being a ***. My brother was push to the ground and so was my two cousins. WTF, we didn't do anything wrong yet we got arrested and was sent in a sobering cell overnight. No test of some sort was conducted on us and yet we were charge of drunk in public. All four of us have a court appearance of Febuary 13. We are good people and never done anything wrong. We don't have any criminal record until that night. No rights (Miranda rights) was said during the arrest. Can anybody help us out how to deal with our situation

My son tells me that Swedish law forbids parents from verbally insulting their children, and that in Switzerland after 10 pm men can only urinate in a seated position.

If this is true I would be interested to know how these measures are policed and how high the conviction rate is.

Is it legal in the state of Florida for a child(she's 12 now but her father has been having her do it since she was 9 that I know of) to operate an off-road vehicle of any type? I heard about a mother in jail for children being injured while operating one in south Florida. He insists that because it's "private property" there's nothing I can do, even about him letting her drive his full-size pickup since the same age. I am seriously concerned for her safety as she has already broken her ankle so severely it requireed surgery but he had her back on it before she was even out of her cast.

DOES ANYONE KNOW THE NAME OF A REFERENCE BOOK
THAT CONTAINS STEP BY STEP SAMPLES OF LEGAL LETTERS THAT YOU CAN SEND TO COMPANIES WHO HAVE EITHER RIPPED YOU OFF REGARDING A CONTRACT YOU PURCHASED, RIPPED YOU OFF CONCERNING A ITEM THAT IS A LEMON, ETC.??? FOR EXAMPLE---WE PURCHASED A
BIG SCREEN TV SET (PANASONIC) IN 2000, WE ALSO PURCHASED WITH THE TV AN EXTENDED WARRANTY. WE
CONTINUED TO CARRY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY
UNTIL THEY (CIRCUIT CITY) NO LONGER OFFERED THE WARRANTY DUE TO THE AGE OF ITEM AND THE WARRANTY RAN OUT.
DURING THE TIME THAT THE WARRANTY WAS IN EFFECT,
WE HAD TO HAVE THE TV SERVICED '5 TIMES' .
IN THE WARRANTY PROVISIONS IT CLEARLY STATES--
IF THE WARRANTIED ITEM SHOULD NEED SERVICING MORE THAN '3' TIMES THE ITEM WILL BE REPLACED. OF COURSE, ***CIRCUIT CITY**** REFUSED TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

DOES ANYONE OUT THERE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS
AS TO THE NEXT STEP THAT COULD BE TAKEN
FOR A REMEDY OF THIS SITUATION???

ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED
