this driveway does not just belong to her only. our land that we own was given us by our now-deceased parents. the sign wasn't compromised on. I didn't even know about it until it was already in place. what can be done about it?

just say f*ck it and put your own sign up with just your name on it. You probalby won't have any luck in court since the name at the end of the driveway does not affect ownership of the land. So, that means they can't say anything about a sign that you put up. That way, you have done the same thing she did so she has no right to get mad.

Do you both populate the property? What does the sign say? Why does she need a sign?

This is a family matter. There's nothing you can legally do unless the sign is advertising a joint business from which you would profit.

I can't help but wonder why she would want the world that passes by to know her name. That's not safe in today's society.

I agree as well... You could put a bigger sign with your name... or try to talk to your sis, I'm sure you guys can work things out.
