i need to get a copy of a probated will from 1986

The only way to get this, since its so old is to call the probate court where it was filed and get a copy. Most court's will fax or mail you one for a fee which you can pay via credit card. If they require another form of payment they will tell you where to send. it.

You will need to know the county where the will is probated. Let's say, Houston County. Call Houston County Clerk, ask for probate records, and explain what you need. Generally, they will look it up while you wait. Any fee charged is just for copies, usually about $1 a page. If you need them certified (wherein the Clerk declares that they match exactly what was filed), expect a fee of about $5 a page.

easy if you know the courthouse it was filed in - call the probate clerk
