Is it legal in the state of Florida for a child(she's 12 now but her father has been having her do it since she was 9 that I know of) to operate an off-road vehicle of any type? I heard about a mother in jail for children being injured while operating one in south Florida. He insists that because it's "private property" there's nothing I can do, even about him letting her drive his full-size pickup since the same age. I am seriously concerned for her safety as she has already broken her ankle so severely it requireed surgery but he had her back on it before she was even out of her cast.

I don't think so. Look it up or call and ask at the police station (don't call 911 to ask though). Be sure to mention that it is private property -as that can probably make a difference.

When she's not there see if they can send someone to speak with her father - especially if she broke her ankle from it and was back on while in a cast! (I cannot believe some people)

And ask her dad if that means he can beat the crap out of her since it's 'private property' without getting in trouble? Or if someone broke in and killed him if that is then legal cause it happened on 'private property'.

the first response is incorrect.

Within PRIVATE PROPERTY the government has no jurisdiction in this matter, if however the child gets injured and the parent put the child on harms way or failed to prevent it due to his inactions, THEN the government can charge him with a bunch of parental stuff, but none related to a driver's permit as that is only needed for on public roads.
