In the words human BEING, a human has to BE born. Nothing is recognized as, or spoken of, as being here, BEFORE it is here.
However, with modern technologies, such as ultrasound, it is now possible to view the developing embroyo and fetus throughout stages of pregnancy. In the first trimester, the embroyo is not recognized as a human, In the second trimester, the embroyo becomes a fetus. This is when sonogram pictures show evidence of a human, and also it is when it is considered murder to even perform an abortion. Murdering a mother at this stage, is actually by law, considered to be a double homicide if the child dies too.

Abortion is not murder when the abortion is performed before the 2nd trimester. (Before the 3rd month of pregnancy). It can not be considered to fall under any of the definitions of murder. No malice aforethought on something that isn't considered human, no premeditation. You can't think about killing a human BEFORE it even IS. Ironically, this is what some women do when they use abortion as a birth control method. IT IS NOT ONE.
It is also not considered murder to abort an embroyo, because you can't murder something that has the POTENTIAL to be human. Many things must take place before a zygote or an embroyo can become a human fetus. Is it considered murder when a male masturbates and destroys sperm that has the POTENTIAL to make babies? It's the same thing.

Abortions performed before the third month is over, are therefore, NOT murder.

this is where we get into moral debates. abortion is not murder from the standpoint of there is a legal obligation to keep a child healthy till 18. Not all people are honest and there are those who are sexually assulted that carry around not only the scars of the event but would be reminded daily of the abuse they went through.

Also, there are many who cannot afford to "keep" a child and support themselves which will be to the detriment of both mother and child and in the best interests of the mother, they abort the child before born when the child has not completely developed.

There are also a number of documented studies which find that the birthing first child is much riskier than other children in terms of risk to the mother. if the mother dies or has complications with child birth then she cannot take care of the child and therefore becomes ward to the state and a cost to the tax payers. By aborting a child when there are obvious risks to the mother they save her the pain and suffering associated with full delivery.

Well, if you want the legal reason (which murder falls into. . .):

A fetus (baby) is not considered a "life" in the eyes of the law until it is 24 weeks (6 months). An abortion, by law, can not be performed on anyone over 12 weeks (3 months) along in their pregnancy. So, legally speaking, you can't try someone for a crime when what they are doing is perfectly legal.

You have the right to your opinions, but everyone else has the right to theirs. And I think that the decision on abortion doesn't lie with anyone other than the pregnant and the inpregnator - so unless you are one of them, your argument is moot.

The other are right do a point, where the line should be drawn is partial birth abortion. When a mother has carried a baby full term and the doctor sucks the brain out of it to kill it. Tell me that wasn't a human being!!!!!!!!!!

It depends on how each individual defines a life. Some people believe life doesn't begins until the baby is living and breathing outside the womb. I do think it's a womans right to choose. However I would not consider it for myself.

Because the courts decided in Roe v Wade that a fetus is not a human being before the 3rd trimester.

What they are saying is it suits them to kill a baby before it has a chance. But If that baby is born and becomes a murderer you cannot put him to death. That is murder and two wrongs don't make it right . You know all that misguided lib crap. You have to look at the Justices who ruled on that. And if someone kills a woman with a FETUS inside her they can be tried for two murders.

When Tom DeLay pulled the plug on his brain-dead father was that murder? I recall DeLay thinking that pulling the plug on Terri Schiavo was murder (until the press found out about his dad and then DeLay slithered back to the spider-hole).

The "human being" in the definition is missing. It's more like having a tumor removed.

No intelligent person can deny that when a woman is pregnant, there is a living human being in her womb. Anyone who doubts this needs to see:

Every abortion kills an innocent human being. Every abortion is murder. There is nothing complicated about it.
