i know someone who is operating a karaoke business with cd's which were copied from someone elses catalogue. i would like to do something about it, but i do not know who to contact...any help out there?

why would you want to screw someone over like that? he's not hurting you so leave him alone.

copyrights are tough -- generally only the person/company that is offended can file a civil suit -- it's usually not a criminal matter. You can turn them in to the company who's cd are copied from but what's the point they generally don't act on it anyway.

Try the record labels. They were real big on downloading music and will probably be ready willing and able to jump on the bandwagon to get their money.

contact the law in your town and then they might want to set up a sting operation so they can catch them.
