I have lived in my community complex for14 months and have never been late with the rent. My company just went under because my major customer went to another county that offers cheaper labor. This month I am now 16 days late with the rent. I was called to the office and given a form to sign stating that I will be given till the 21st to pay, after which I will be evicted and sued for the remaining rent owed on the lease by their lawyer. Is this something that they can legally do?
Thank you in advance for your help.

I have a question regarding my wifes ex-husband and his rights. I have been with my wife for 3 years now, she has a 7 year old son and a 6 year old son. Her ex-husband has not paid child support/called/birthday cards..NOTHING since they've been apart and recently he's been paying child support. He owes about $14,000 and has paid maybe $2,000 over the past 3 months. My wife is extremely upset because she thinks he's going to get the kids. My question is, does he now have rights to see the kids after being absent for so man years? They only know me as their dad and it would kill me and my wife to have them change the way they feel towards me because of this. Her ex-husband is not a good person and has threatened me a few times. I don't know what to do and unfortunately all of the attorneys in Virginia are wanting to charge $3,000 just to talk to us. Please, if there's anyone out there that can shed some light on this! Thanks!!!

he would most likely be charged and his case sent to the courts. If however a ittle Old White Lady was found to be possessing a gun what do you think the chances are that she would also be charged and have her case sent to the courts? I would think it would be very unlikely!! Is this not discrimantion against the young, the black, and men?

After Three years of paying and no outstanding payments i sent the car back in excellent condition. According to the finance agreement i was lawfully able to do so and incur no further charges. Over the past twelve months i have been threatened with court action, offered several different settlement figures, in order to pay off the payment protection insurance figure, which formed part of the finance agreement. Can someone tell me if i have a liability, or are they just trying to get more money from me. They have placed a marker on my credit file, of which i have responded to in order to assure anyone who views it that i am not a credit risk. I am refusing to pay, and i am now considering taking legal action of my own. Sensible advice will be most welcome.

I wonder if that falls under a type of discrimination? I have had my medical marijuana prescription for a year, and was told by a company that the will not hire me because I use medical marijuana. I only smoke at night and never during the day, so I will never go to work high, and they still refuse to hire me.

Is it possible to sue a county for the damages you received in an accident that happened due to workers not working? Not plowing the streets and a layer of ice about 3 inches high. A little information that can help you understand is I wasn't the only person in the accident there was a total of ten accidents and none of use hit other cars but we spent out and rolled over multiple times.

If I am still suffering the mental effects of a car accident that was caused by someone else almost a year ago, is it possible to sue that person? By mental effects, I mean the fact that any time a vehicle even remotely comes close to looking like it's going to enter my path of travel or run into me, I jump, get very tense, my heart rate jumps rapidly, etc. This is my third accident that has been caused by some one else, but the other two were rear-enders, and this is the only time I have ever had this reaction while driving. Anything I can do or do I just have to deal with it on my own?
