The short answer is no if she acted in self defense or defense of others. In order for that to be true the person must have been engaged in an activity that would cause a reasonable person to believe life of limb was in imminent danger. Making a threat simply is not enough to justify the stabbing, it also could be difficult to justify if the person could have reasonably escaped, however some states like Florida do not require that you attempt to flee.

If she stabbed the attacker while trying to save the person from falling off the balcony, then no she shouldn't.

However, if she stopped the person from falling off the balcony and then went and stabbed the attacker, yes, she should.

That depends on the nature of her stabbing the attacker. Unfortunately, if she herself was not assaulted, then she is, in fact, assaulting someone. You hear about Good Samaritans getting charged with assault for helping people all the time.

Legally, she should be convicted. Morally and ethically, absolutely not.

Justice law would mean she is a hero and therefore should not be prosectuted... It however just justify her carrying out any act of violence in her own defence to avoid an arrest which places her in a vunerable position where an injustice could be carried out.

Injustices occur as good people who acted as heros allowed themselves to be arrested by those who support the abuse and do not like victems fighting back.

its for the CPS to decide, they have to decide if it was 'wounding with intent'-did she intend to inflict?, or was she genuinely trying to protect?-was there another way she could have stopped the incident ? I think you will find it may come to serious GBH, also depends on what the'victims' solicitor will fight for. All in all a conviction will be likely.

No give her a medal instead ,it's about right for the police to charge the innocent party and let the scum get away with it.
