USPS says that my package was delieverd today at 2:57. The thing is, these stupid people never even ring a bell - they just drop the box right in front of my porch. I live on a cul de saac (and my neighbor's aren't alway very nice) so who's to say someone didn't just pick it up? I searched everywhere! This is the second time this happened to me. The first time they lost my diamond ring for my mom. Thank goodness that was insured so they paid up. But THIS time, the ebay seller didn't have insurance offered, so I was forced to just go with it.

Does anyone know how I should report a package missing? Will they even believe me?

I loaned a person 3200.00. I threatened to take her to court because of slow pay.The agreement was 500.00 a month. I loaned it to her in May 2006. She gave me 300.00 in july 2006. She avoided me and changed her phone number until I got a hold of her mother here in Dallas and the mother informed the husband of what was going on. He had no idea.They live in California.Now we are in Nov 2006. The husband called me and said all they could do is send 300.00 a month because they were in terrible debt,due to her gambling. I said o.k. They did make a payment in Nov. Now here it is end of Dec. and I called the husband and he said they will send. He originally told me the payment would be the beginning of each month. Then she told me I could try to take her to court but I could not sue on a verbal agreement. Is this true? They do not deny the loan.

I know a boss who uses illegal drugs at the workplace, and in company vehicles. It is known among the employees that he does this. With out hurting the other employees can I turn the boss in and have him fired? How do I go about reporting it and who do I report it too. The type of business is multi office, with a corprate headquarters. The employees work independently in service related jobs. Any advice?

i was with engaged to man for 3 years. during a time while we were together, he didnt have a job, no nice clothing, no car and certainly on money. we lived together and of course i paid all of the bills. i found out form his mom that he was getting calls at her house from another woman. when i confronted him he tried to commit suicide. i was the one who got him out of the the phychiatric hospital not even his family would come to visit. i helped him, loved him and made him feel strong, i moved to his town ans left me like a coward, i nedded to moved, needed money and i was going to have surgery. he left me with all of tohse problems. i made it without him. it was onlt a month ago. his granny bought a car and let him drive it and pay for it as if it was his and he went home to his mommy. he is near 40. just to ad no one respected him and he is a coward with a deformed body i overlooked his flaws . i want to get over this how do i do it when all i think about is how he betrayed me. help

Are lanlords allowed to treat you biasly? We have a Phd who lives above us and is always doing stupid things. He broke the door in by kicking after being drunk one night and always is fighting with his wife wee hours of the morning (we called 311 several times). Ironically, the landlord believes his lies when he says he is not doing any of this or that its not as bad a we make it sound. He sides with him under the logic that he is a Phd and smarter-as if Phds have some higher morality to them. It is ridiculous and I'm sick of him ignoring our pleas when they are objective. Is there anyway to take legal measures for this kind of stuff?

I sued my former employer and raised some Constitutional issues. My employer made a "notice of removal" and had the case moved from New York State Court to Federal Court (US District Court). What do I have to do to the complaint to file it in Federal Court. I have multiple causes of action including a Section 1983 action, breach of contract, tortious interference and I am asking for specific performance of my contract. PLease help

There is a download site allofmp3.com that I want to use but the terms states that if it is legal issue in your country that we should not subcribe to their site. I notice that they are being sued by music groups. Is it illegal to use here in the US?

There are 2 people involved. Pandi has very good credit with equity, collateral, etc. Bob was friends with her for 5 years borrowing money all the way. Last April Pandi let Bob put $$ on her credit card in the sum of $5000.00 to get he and his family out of a jam. He has only paid back $300.00 of it. She is such a good kind person that she believes him when he says he'll pay her next week....for the last 8 months. Pandi took out a loan when she noticed her bill was up to approx $15,000.00. She just had thought she misspent some where along the way. She did not use her card for 2 months and then gets a statement today and ta-da! there were $500.00 more charges. She called who charged her and they traced it back to Bob! She went further back (to April) and $11,000 is Bob!
What can she do to get reimbursed? Can she be? Can she sue? (no, there was not a written contract for the first $5,000....only a verbal agreement) Pandi is so gullable....now what?

What would prevent someone from digging through someone's trash, finding a thrown out utility bill or something, and posting it online?

There must be some laws against that, right? But someone told me that once you throw something away, anyone can have it and use it however they like. Are there any laws against putting someone's personal info online without their permission?

The way I figure it, legaly speaking, prisoners are currently able to marry people outside prison.

So, my quandery is; If they legalize same sex marriage, wouldn't that mean prisoners could marry their cellmates?

Every other day, I get mail from Capital One trying to get me to get a credit card with them. Everyday I have to waste my time to open the crap up and separate it out to be shredded (I had my identity stolen once, so I shred everything). I have tried calling them but they keep me on hold for so long, and I do not want to waste my cell minutes. Can I file suit against them for harassment?

This pertains to NY.
Ins co settled my personal injury case stemming from an auto accident several years ago this May and sent a settlement check to my lawyer. She's claiming that they have to verify that there are no medical liens attached to my name... Every time I contact her, she's giving me the same excuse that she's still awaiting response from the verification agency and its been months.
Is there anything I can do to expedite the process? Should this really be taking this long? Should I contact bar association and complain?

I got an email from a guy telling me that he was selling 4 NIB Nintendo Wii's. I accepted and he told me i would be getting an invoice from yahoo with payment and Seller information. I then followed the steps in the invoice from yahoo(later i found out it was a fake email). I sent him my money and he picked it up. Then he sent me email stating I had to pay him another $240 dollars in shipping. So I declined and told him to refund me and he ceased communications with me. So I was wondering who should i get in contact with to get my money back?

I have 2 girls and their dad's name is Scott, we were never married he got arested and charged with criminal sexual conduct in the 3 degree and sent to prison when they were babies for what he did to my oldest girl, I had his parental rights terminated so he is no longer considered their legal father, my question is if he ever meets a new girl and gets married and they have a kid together wuld that kid be anything to my girls? I know normaly that kid would be like a half or step sibling but being that Scott is no longer my girls legal parent would that still be the same?
