driving around instead of going to court is better so the feds don't take you to immigration court or jail? I do...i think it looks like safehouses in Iraq. The words are the same safehouses--where the government locks people they call drug addicts..usually their medicated for anxiety.

Here's the deal my parent lend their good friend $20,000 for an investment. Considering that he's a good friend of my parents, they did not do a written agreement jutst a verbal one. It is now time for the guy to pay my parents back and so far he has only paid 1000 back. He's been avoiding my parents and he even changed his home address and phone number. Luckily my parents know where he works so they been having to nag him on a daily basis to pay them back. My parent agreed on a monthly payment but the guy keeps making excuses each month about the payment. He refuses to sign any contract. He also refuses to give my parents his new home address and phone number. However my parents do have his cell number but it goes straight to voice mail everytime they call. Can this situation be brought up to court due to emotional distress and economic damage because my parent wastes their time and money to drive to his work place almost everyday just to ask for the money.

My son is 15, and is being abused by my ex, an FBI agent. This man REPEATEDLY gets away with it. We were just in court two weeks ago. The judge said she would talk to my son. She did, and was very disturbed by what he told her. Yet, she tried to make him go for visitation last weekend. The transfer was to occur in her chambers. My son FLIPPED OUT and ran from the courtroom. She felt that was "childish" behavior and is now disbelieveing his testimony because of that. She is making him go to his father's for Christmas. I am infuriated! Will justice ever be served? Or will my ex have to kill my son before anyone believes the truth?

I work for a small family owned company. The owner has done a terrible job at training new hires, then turns around and harasses me, the employee for not doing things the way they should be done. The way she handles it is to charge me money for every error I make, and talks down to me telling me I should remember something because it's costing them money and sarcastically saying she told me 3000 times and I still can't get it. She is past retirement age, and looks at me like I'm fresh out of school, too innocent to know better how I should be treated. Is there anything I can do legally other than leave?

This may upset a few people (it's not meant to), but I think it's a valid question, and I'd like to hear some of your thoughts.

Most Republicans seem to consider themselves Christians, but are totally against any sort of social welfare programs. They seem to think that social welfare equates to handouts for the lazy and that it promotes shiftlessness and corruption. When, in reality, countries that offer the most social welfare to their citizens are among the most successful, with the highest standard of living, and generally produce the healthiest, and best educated people in the world, even beating out the good ol' U.S. of A. (Sweden and Switzerland, are good examples).

I'm wondering, how is it that a Christian can be against social welfare, and still consider him/herself a follower of Jesus, who defined himself by his charity, and his help for the poor. After all, wasn't it Jesus who said, "The meek shall inherit the earth"?
