Because liberal politics are never logical.
"Fetus" is Latin for little one, we certainly wouldn't want to use everyday English here and talk about getting rid of "the little one"! That's just too real.
Also, an unborn child has it's own DNA, not it's Mom's. therefore it is not simply a mass of the Mother's body tissue.
Basically a Fetus has no rights because it has no voice.
However, more and more states are enacting laws that when a pregnant woman is murdered, it is two counts of murder brought against the criminal.
These silent little ones need us to speak up for them, you are so right, and in this case common sense is a matter of life & death.

I think you answered your own question when you used the term FETUS, we do not call 18-25-88 year olds murderers or not Fetuses. A fetus is not a person under the law.

Once a rich king that couldn't get a divorce changed the law so he could marry someone else.
Once a rich woman decided she didn't want her baby and got together with others that felt the same way and changed the law.
What is moral and what is lawful are not always the same.

actually i dont really know what you are trying to say. obviously fetus is still ... a fetus which is being carried inside mother's uterus. and becoz of this, abortion, which kills the fetus is allowed and legal.

although i completely agree with the point you are making it's probably because the fetus couldn't defend it's self in a court battle which is what it would come down to.
