two weeks ago I went into a company called Cricket to get a cell phone. I payed $75.00 for the phone and the first month service. I told the 3 women who were at work that I was moving back to Batobn Rouge, La so I would need a Baton Rouge number. They told me to have the number changed when I get home. I was also showed a map of the covered area...it clearly showed Baton Rouge and other parts of louisiana as covered. I got back home after driving for two days and my phone cant get service. They are telling me to drive back to CA for a refund. Im broke and pissed off. I was completely mislead. What can I do????

Time will be saved explaining the law before every case, and they could see through some attorney's twisting of facts and misdirection.
The only thing I see against this is perhaps corruption, payoffs, etc.

The rule of thumb was a law in the early New England states stating that it was illegal to hit your wife with any stick larger in diameter than your thumb. Seems like things could be put back in order pretty quick that way to me.

My father bought a slot machine in Texas and would like to take to his other home in Nebraska. What is the punishment or what is the jail/prison time someone would have to serve if caught with a slot machine in the state of Nebraska? The slot machine uses quarters dollar bills or tokens.

I heard it had nothing to do with her disbelief in Cryonics but it was leverage to get her way back into the will. Does anyone have info on this? I believe my postman may be stealing my x-mas cards. Each year, my grandmother sends me a crisp 100.00 bill, and for the past two years I did not receive it. I receive all of my other cards, however those cards only contain x-mas greetings and no cash. Coincidently, my other brothers and sisters have not received their x-mas cards the last two years either. My grandmother INSISTS she sent them to us all, however none of us got them. Should I contact someone at the post office? I find it hard to believe that postmen in 4 different states could be in on this conspiracy, but it needs to stop!!!

What does the character evaluation of the bar evaluate? I have never been in trouble with the law or anything like that, but I don't have the best of credit. What does the check and questions entail? Thanks for any info. If it matters, I live in Utah and will be sitting for the bar next year.

I've downloaded a basic Last Will and Testament form that's valid in my state. I'm trying to figure out how to phrase that should my husband predecease me, I want my estate to go to my nieces and nephews -- some of which are 'step' -- and some of which are not yet born!

I only have 2 brothers - do I just list "any and all children of John and Jack Doe, including those not yet born, by birth or marriage??"

Is there a boilerplate phrase for this? Everything I think of is clunky or I'm afraid it's not what I'm trying to say or might leave a loophole. Thanks!

I went to a gas station the other night in Michigan and was charged almost a dollar more than the advertised price for a pack of cigarettes....I know that there is a law about that somthing about getting 5% back but I am not too clear on the whole thing, if someone knows about that could you please inform me of the rest? thank you

almost one year ago my dogs got out of the house because my son didnt get the door shut. one week ago my husband got a call from a lady in illinois (we live in indiana) saying that she found one of them. she took him to the vet and they ran his chip and gave her the option of whether or not to call us. we let her keep picasso but i was wondering if the vet was supposed to call us. my female border collie is still missing and im hoping that this is not what happened in her case. i would love to see her come home. so once again is the vet supposed to legally call you if your pet has been found

some questions (I know that answer is different from State to State)?
1) When a criminal case can be reopened? Which procedure stage the case is under double jeopardy rule since?
2) Is a new trial possible when you descover new dismissing evidences after a previous trial ending in a conviction (it's forbidden under US Constitution, I think)?
3) IS a new criminal provision (that creates a new crime; or that abolish crime) rectroactive? or when is it rectroactive?

I've been selected for jury service and I need to get out of it. Can anybody make any suggestions. I will be turning up on the day as if I don't I will be fined £1,000. What can I do to ensure I'm not selected and sent home. Will wearing a legalise cannabis t-shirt help me or will I be fined for contempt of court. Any serious suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Is it legal for a company to record telephone calls between them and you if they dont tell you that they are recording it. A company is billing me for something i haven`t ordered and say they have recorded me verbally agreeing to the order and im not sure if its illegal to record someone without telling them that they are recording the conversation
