It is still valid as long as your parents never changed it, which would be a good idea now since the original attorney is deceased.
If everytime someone died it made documents null & void what good would they be? ppl make wills for a reason...

Yes, a will is indefinately valid, as long as it is the most recent one. Hence, a will is called a "Last Will and Testament of ...". It is literally the last statement of intent made by that person, and revokes any and all previous ones.
It is a great idea to review the will periodically, as life circumstances change from time to time, which can cause a lot of grief if the will does not fulfill your current needs. We often forget these things, then the inevitable happens and it is too late to prevent a whole host of expensive and traumatic problems! To redo or update a will is usually not very expensive, and it never hurts to make sure the most recent copy is still easily accessable in the attorney's files. Although attorneys hold onto wills essentially forever, it never hurts to be sure the correct one is there.
Why? I have been working on a case with my father for the last 4 yrs in which there were questions of who possessed the most current will, which in itself was somewhat defective. Don't let this happen to you.

Aww man, didn't they know to hire a YOUNG LAWYER for a Will. Everyone knows that if the lawyer pre-deceases the decedent than the assets become forfeited to your State.
My advice would be to Picket your State Capital Building.
