Law & Ethics - December 2006

Im a healthy non-smoker and I work in hotel and smokers have to smoke outside and their cig smoke drifts comes into the hotel lobby from the outside and now Im sick. There should be laws against this abuse. My lungs cant take it anymore because of smokers......but I need to pay my bills. What can I do?

I won a judgement in court 3 months ago and have not yet been paid. I filed the judgement in at the Monroe County PA court house to be on file. Hopefully this will get back to the credit bureaus. What can i do now? You cant granish wages in PA and the sherrif told me that a sherrifs sale on his property usually doenst bring in any money. Anything else i could try? Thanks

I would rather that she be a prostitute then a lawyer. I would not want her to be a cheap street hooker, but a high class courtesan or escort. She has the brains and beauty to be whatever she wants and I will support any decision she makes, but I cannot think of a worse or more lowlife profession than attorney.

Am I wrong?

What can I say to her to convey my disappointment?

i have been living with my man and my 3 kids for 5 months, he has been verbally abusive to me and i can't take it. he is from pakistan and iam italian. last night i cursed him out and punched him in the lip. it felt so good, now he told me to move out, but i have no where to go. the lease is in both of our names, can he throw me out, or does him or the landlord have to take me to court if i don't pay this months rent..i have two months security deposit.when i got the apartment, i paid the money with my check book and i have all reciepts, but my boyfriend gave me the money to write out a check, is it still valid to my part

Im British but have an interest in American history. I believe that liberals are trying to rewrite or misquote the Consitution to make support leftwing ideology and minority interests and suppress the freedom of Christiansto express there beliefs in public like prayer at sporting events . The Founding Fathers where all Christians the idea of seperation of Church and State is based on a misunderstanding of a letter and in my opinion oppresion of Christianity in public is unconsituional and the unelected judges should be confronted and sacked.

I believe it should. I get upset when I see the cop shows where they put a good looking lady out on the street to try to pick up a john and then arrest them. With all the crime out there is this the best use of their time. Normally they have 5 to 8 cops in these groups. And no I have never been with or tried to be with a prostitute. I just believe if both parties are willing adults then it should be legal. What is the difference in that and what happens in bars every night of the week? Is it worth the money we spend trying to stop it.

I called Directv to reschedule my installation since they did not show up and my cell phone dropped the call. 30 seconds later I get a call from a private # and it is the same lady from directv and she says "Nobody hangs up on me you ****** *****!" Wondering what I should do about it since all they offered me for my trouble is a free month of service. She could have all my private info.

If we have the right to bear arms, why is it the less dangerous weapons are banned before guns? Is this purely because guns have such strong advocacy groups? I'm not saying we should ban guns or anything, I'm just saying if guns are allowed why aren't these much less lethal weapons allowed?
