I received two speeding tickets about a week apart. One was on the highway and one was on a local road. I honestly believe the highway ticket was not something I should have recieved, because I know that I was not speeding, however its my word against theirs. If I fight the tickets I stand a chance of winning, but I know I also have a chance of winning. If I pay the tickets l'll still get the points, but I might be able to do traffic school to keep it from affecting my driving record.

Okay, here's a question for all the lawyers and attorneys out there...first, here's the jist of what happened:
I took my car into a shop for repairs. In the process of doing those repairs, they damaged my car (cosmetic). They agreed to repair the damage they caused, and then whilst fixing that damage ( for free because THEY caused it in the first place!), they caused ANOTHER damage of a worse but similar nature. (2 additional damages actually). Now, they are denying liability, and they have changed their story and are now refusing to admit that they caused the first damage, and are claiming that they fixed it "out of the kindness of their own heart" not because they actually caused the damage.
So....
Are they liable for damaging my car?

Is it legal to mail flyers to people. I thought of getting addresses from the whitepages and mail flyers to potiential clients. However, I wanted to make sure that it was legal before hand. If you have any information on this matter please let me know.

I don't know if it is true or not so just asking.

I heard that the men were told by their Rossie O'Dumbell hairy wives that they had to sit in the corner sucking their thumbs in a fetal position.
Tell me that this is not true !

Assuming the person is just trying to relieve themselves and attempt to conceal themselves but get caught by the cops anyway (They are not trying to flash anybody). Most people say no, but yet this is the law in many states so why don't more people speak out against this law to state legislators?

problem for myself? If he moves the kid in against my wishes I will have to evict him..Will it be harder if the kid is here also, even though I said the kid cannot move in? I am trying to be reasonable. I own the house. The kid is unstable and I am scared for MY safety to have him live here, to make a long story short. Kid is 12 with learning and emotional problems. If he moves the kid in can I call someone else in my BF's famly to come get the kid?I dont want to be charged with child endangerment for putting them out.I overheard a phone conversation where my bf said"I will move him in here and see what happens, if it dosent work out I will move out"I dont know if the kid is being abused my the mother or not, the story changes every time I ask my BF about it.First, she abuses him, then she lets do whatever he wants. This is turning into such a pile of sh*t that I have stepped into.I think he might be trying to guilt me into saying yes he can move in. No, it WONT work

I'm pretty sure I have a standard 12 month lease agreement in Texas. The landlords/apartment owners have not kept up one of the amenities on the property that I've lived for over two years. The fitness room is full of broken equipment and that is more than likely caused by underaged children using the facility incorrectly. I wrote a letter to the manager at one point about it and was told that the equipment was being replaced with new equipment but it's been over six months and that hasn't happened. They've recently changed owners (or possibly just management companies) and now the fitness room has been completely locked up (after hours, I assume, as I'm never here when the office is open). Is there any action that I could take against the management company and/or owners? I've looked over the lease and parts of it are very vague referring to the property and not specifically amenities. Any push in the right direction will be appreciated.

I think the gov't should legalize brothels create a red light district similar to the one in Amstradam. These brothels should be regulated ofcourse. Use of condoms and mandatory testing for HIV and other sexual transmitted has to be enforced by the operators of the brothels, The sex workers would pay income tax and this new tax dollars can be spent on providing social services. Make it illegal for hookers to be on the city streets forcing them to work in government regulated brothels were its clean and save. The sex trade can be recognized as a legitimate profession and Prostitutes would be have a pension, even collect, unemployment insurance if they lose their job. Also,it would probably increase Canada's lacking tourism industry.

They had to come into our apartment to see the pet because he doesnt go outside, he's trained on pee pads. Can they legally come into our apartment when we arent home, with no prior notice, and when we havent asked them to come by?

If you have a living will made out and signed by you with a witness then is that all you have to do or is it imperative to have it notarized by a notary public? I heard that the will doesn't count unless it is notarized and was wondering if that is true or not.

I am really upset that I lost out of getting a Wii this weekend due to some guy paying people to stand in line in groups for a Wii and retrieved 8 of the 12 available Wii consoles at a Target in Detroit. After they got the consoles, all of the participants went to his car and placed the consoles in the trunk! I saw him giving money to them. I was furious, I started to say things relating to what they were doing, but my husband told me to forget about it. So I wanted to know, are these actions legal. Thank you.

I got a DUI in may '06 under the age of 21. The DMV told me that my license would be revoked for 1 year. Later I received a letter out-of-the-blue from the DMV, telling me that from 1 year, my waiting period had been cut down to 6 months.
Now, 6 months have passed and I called the DMV to see what's up, and they say that anyone who gets a DUI under 21 gets their license revoked for a year, so I still had 6 more months to wait.
But when I asked them about the letter I received, they said that there was nothing like it recorded under my file, BASICALLY they're saying that there was never such a letter ....
WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Dispute it or let it go? They made me believe that I would get it back in December! Now they're saying that it's not true!
PLEASE HELP
