I agree with all the answers here but if we are to remove this crime from society as much as possible, I think the punishment for rape/child molestation should be castration.
These are hedious crimes in which people take advantage of women or children and use them for their twisted sexual pleasure; such a person should be liberated from all future urges.

The pedophiles and rapists! They are the ones making those nasty decisions and they are the ones commiting the crimes. No one is responsible but them. And I am just trying to keep them away from me and my children. Easier said then done, so yes I have a problem with it but how do you really know if people are sickos until they do something sick.

Who ever made their ruling is to blame.
After serving their jail time, they should be all put in a big sanctuary place or something until death just to keep them away from harming the public again.
Of course its a big problem with them being free again.
Bad habits are hard to escape.

I would blame the media in the first place, a lot of violence and sex are seen in the T.V these days. Also, don't forget the education system which some time contribute to the problem in an indirect way when the system doesn't try to explain the impact of the drugs and uncensored sex in our live

Pedophiles ,rapist should not be free they should be dead. they kill the innocence of a child so they should be put to death if this happened a few times we would have a big decrease in these crimes.

The society as it whole .Ever body in the society has their own percentage in it.The people who talks about and does not want to talk any action is also responsible. The law department who left them out is responsible.The law enforcing agency cops who does not want to take action is responsible.if everybody does their own responsibility in society correctly there will not be such incidents.

Yes, I have three children and who is to say these people will never do it again? I do not feel safe anywhere with my children. I blame the government and the lack of space to put these people. I for one do not think Alcatraz was so bad of a place to have around and I think it needs re-built and utilized.
