If you're serious about knowing in depth about law then there are lots of Handbooks on various law for general puiblic and laymen.
Lastly I would like to advice you a word of warning. Please consult a qualified Lawyer while entering into any important dealing and don't try to use the knowledge you've acquired. Because a Lawyer spends his life with Law and know the matter indepth.
Best of luck.

A economist said long back, Indians are honest, but laws making them corrupt. Our laws helps more to increase litigation, than resolving. IT has some vested interest. The laws were originally formulated to suit the Britishers, for strenghtening their regime here, not intended to help the people of a free country. But unfortunately even after over six decades of independence we were uanble to formulate our own laws, suited to our needs.
