I had to read your question twice and read the answers to figure out what the issue was. You could read a lot into this. I thought maybe you were leaving something out. I always assume a person is innocent. My first thought was that he was a Boy Scout Troop Leader or in a Big Brother program. That was never mentioned, I read that into it. No his first defense was that there was something wrong with you to discriminate. This person appears to be up to no good. I would alert the police of your suspicions. Not to be an alarmist but John Wayne Gacy appeared to be innocent. You should have no further contact with this person and let the police follow-up. Deal directly with a detective and do not tell anyone else or you could be found guilty of slander. I hope that this man is innocent but you have to err on the side of the teens. Good Luck

Probably. Most people when they're forty or even twenty five don't care to hang with teens. Your interests change with age. This doesn't mean he's a bad guy, but somethings wrong. When I was a teen I would have found something like that uncomfortable. I would be wary, and never ever be one on one with the guy.

It really depends on how he reacts around them. I used to hang out with many people around that age when i was a teen. They all accepted me very well and never treated me like i was a child. He may have missed out on a child hood and may be trying to re live it. If he is a friend of yours than ask him about his childhood and what he used to get up to. You will probably find that he had over bearing parents that never let him go anywhere. Go easy on him till you find out the facts.

Well, maybe he's being a "big brother" or "father figure" and wishes to help younger people, like a mentor. Yeah, right, something's probably wrong with the dude.

is he doing anything inappropriate? If not, why cant he? Do the parents of said teens have an issue? Unless he is actually causing harm (as in, being a sexual predator of some sort) I dont see why it matters.

Perhaps he is just a friendly human being who makes friends with teenagers. Maybe they are teenagers who feel lonely and he is trying to be friends with them? What's wrong with that?

You should add more details.
