Yes
The arguments about stopping the spread of disease are false, there is less disease spread where prostitution is legal because the prostitutes are required to get medical checks and where it is illegal the carrying of condoms can be used as evidence against the prostitute therefore discouraging safer sex.
The next argument that women are coerced or somehow tricked into becoming prostitutes is similarly flawed. First where legal prostitutes do not fear the police therefore do not need or are not intimidated by pimps. Also if you think that women are unable to make the decision that they want to be prostitutes IE. that they are unable to be fully responsible for their own actions, then why do we allow women to make any decisions on their own?
Prostitution is a victimless crime that is attracts the criminal element only when it is made illegal. Yes prostitutes are the victims of many crimes but so are cab drivers. Should it be illegal to be a taxi driver but legal to give anyone a free car ride?
Further how can one not care when there is sex given away for free, but get bent out of shape when one of the parties tries to profit from the same act?

Well I'm inclined to say no for prostitution, because I don't agree with it. But, if it were legal, it would be better controlled. Our society is not really cut out for that sort of thing, but it would keep a lot of people out of jail. Personally I have been poor, I'm a woman and I never had to turn to prostitution. Many people in my situation back then would have at least thought about it. But once you become a drug dealer or a prostitute, I can imagine that getting a normal paycheck in the future would become pretty disappointing. Imagine earning thousands of dollars a week of easy money, to only hundreds or a couple thousand a month at a normal job. Gotta get a job at some point. Marijuana will not become legal because it is not controllable. It's not because it gets you high, because there are so many things whether you realize it or not that are not illegal and get you high. The government could care less what mental state we are in. Marijuana grows everywhere. Plus they would lose quite a bit of money, in my opinion, even if they taxed it. Then again you need to remember that this isn't Amsterdam. Amsterdam will be Amsterdam, America will be America. If that's what the majority wanted, then we would have had those things LONG ago.

It should be legal IF the prostitutes are required to get frequent medical ckecks to see if they have any contagious diseases. Prostitution has been around since day 1 and will continue as long as humans inhabit the earth.

I see your point, but I think alot of the reason it is illegal is that women on the street are in danger all the time. Do you know how many prostitutes get murdered every year? They aren't concerned with it necissarily because of the activity but because of the danger it poses to the girls, not to mention the spread of disease...

No. Statistically, most people who prostitute themselves spend it on drugs. And just think of what it could do to marriages. Yes, married men and women already go to prostitutes for pleasure, but this would give even easier access. Personally, I wouldn't be comfortable with it. Luckily, my partner is loyal.

NO ~ NEVER. First of all its immoral, in ethical and against law of nature. Moreover, its a shame to humanity. Though it is bad, if being done illegally, but to legalize this low level and sin-full activity would be very very bad.
