When I got divorced I did not ask for my maiden name back because I wanted my last name to be the same as my children's to avoid confusion, etc.

Now I wish to use my maiden name and I use it for everything except money issues becuase when dealing with banks and the payroll department at my job, they all insist that my name match my driver's license and SS card, which are in my married name.

So, how can I get the name on my driver;s license and SS card changed without involving a lawyer or the court system? Do I need some type of paperwork in order to go back to my maiden name on those documents? I live in Texas.

The choices they make affect millions of lives. Still a large number of politicians steal from the people and use their office to secure their own finanicial future. These corrupt heartless ingrates should be lined up and shot. This should also be applied to theft of pentions and annunities. String them up by their toes so we can all beat them to death! Seize all of their assets and sell them to repay the people. Why should they receive mercy, a murderer can destroy one or a couple of families lives while a greedy CEO can destroy thousands of families stealing what they have worked their whole lives to build with one stroke of a pen.

They say we have the highest CCTV coverage in Europe. If so, why does the UK also have one of the highest crime rates? Is it because all the bad guys love the attention?

Why do people keep saying this? A baby can't survive without someone taking care of it, so should it be legal to kill a baby?

And people say it's ok to abort a baby before it has a heartbeat. Do you even know when that it? It's like 6 weeks after conception. How many people actually have an abortion that early?

They are talking about one now, but it seems too difficult. What about the government taking a certain amound (15-20%) from your income and leaving it at that. No matter if you are married, have kids, or are rich. Hence a person who makes $100 a week will pay the same percentage, but a smaller amount that someone who makes $400. If you choose to have 4 kids, then that's your choice. You shouldn't be rewarded for reproducing.

Someone(I don't want to say who) is stalking us.
They watch everytime we go in and out of the house. There was a time when a family member went out to the car and the neighbor jumped back from the window when they saw we noticed them staring.
We put something to cover our property to get them to stop.
Now they're threatning to come over here onto our property, take it down, and maybe destroy it.
If we file for restraining order, do you think it'd be issued?
This person has harassed and stalked just about everyone on this block, we're the first to do something about it.
Maybe if we get the others to help us and sign something?
Right now we're working with the manager to get this order processed. He's also working on evicting them.
This person has really bad anger management problems, we're afraid she'll come at us.

Anyway. Will this be easy to win or do we need more?

In the early hours of the morning a revolution towards Y/A took place.
over 200 people spoke thier mind against having thier Q&As removed for no valid reason and being violated for ridiculous purposes.
many people risked thier accounts to speak out and at least one lost thier account.
The Q has been deleted but not before someone posted it on the forum.
what was posted in the forum now also seems to be deleted.
Y/A doesn't seem to realise the magnitude of these unfair violation concerns.
They choose to ignore the problem and try to quietly squelch the voice of its users.
If you believe you have been treated unfairly by getting a violation notice(that never responds to a reply)
please show your support and and make your voice heard by answering and linking this Q to other Qs.
thanks.

There have been a few occurrences in these last few months about Hecklers in relation to political opinions. Recently, a heckler was supposedly shoved into a chair by supporters after asking Sen. Allen about spitting on his wife. According to an article on cnn.com, the Senator has refused to scold his backers. At a Barbra Streisand concert, a heckler was reported to have supposedly said "Shut Up and Sing, this isn't a political event" in relation to skit involving Bush Impersonator, Steve Bridges and supposedly was told to F*** off by Barbra Streisand, herself. Do you think that "hecklers" deserve to face these kind of consequences? Do Hecklers have the right to behave this way in public? Your thoughts.

I'm looking for intelligent answers only. And please, unless you have evidence to the contrary, don't cite stricter gun control laws. Many cities and states in the U.S. with the strictest gun control laws(D.C.) also have the highest violent crime rates and many cities and states with the most lenient gun control laws(Texas) have some of the lowest per capita violent crime rates.

I have a friend who works in a metal plant in Virginia for 12 hours a day. His Job has been making him work over time(additional 4 hours, so he works from 3:30 pm to 3:30 am). Can your employer make u work overtime like that, for weeks straight, and no off days for the past month? Seeing as how it's a metal plant, its a strenuous job and the workers need off days and longer breaks.

Recently I was driving at night on an unfamilier road and I hit a huge pothole. I got a flat tire. I went to the dealership(I've had the car only 4 months) to fix it b/c I have tire protection under my warrenty. The tire warrenty place sent an inspector out to look at my car and decided they're not going to cover it. The reason:b/c they think it looks like I hit a curb and they don't cover that. But that's not what happened! I called the manager to tell him once again what happened and he can't tell me what I did/didn't hit. He said it was consistent to hitting a curb and there's no way they'll cover it! Now I don't know what to do? The dealership said I needed two tires and two wheels.(now I could just replace one tire that got flat, the other one I can ride with but it's not recomeded) I think that it's not right and I was wondering what I should do b/c it'd be a few hundred out of my pockets that I don't have! Can I take this any further with the tire place? Or am I just screwed?
