Yep, apparently the term 'freedom of speech' seems to be a bit confusing to some. Freedom of speech is all-encompassing, so really the idiots at the top are just being hypocritical. It's very child-like and immature, don't you think?

Freedom of speech is guaranteed by the government in that you won't be prosecuted for having an opinion or the government won't censor you. When you take part in a forum such as this that requires that you follow certain guidelines, you can be censored by the moderators when you violate those terms.

Yahoo recently admitted that some violations were improper and based on trollers who wrongfully report abuse. Perhaps that happened to you. As for freedom of speech on Y!Answers, you really don't have any, but most speech is respected whether you agree with them or not.

The bill of rights, the first ammendment contains freedom of speech. You can say anything as long as it's not inappropriate

What are you considering "improper"? Perhaps your questions were miscategorized, not questions, really stupid, or offensive.

Oh, and Yahoo! is under NO obligation to post your petty questions if it chooses not to, just so you know.
