Friends were getting guy to buy them beer. I knew what they were doing but was not directly involoved. Exchanged no money never touched beer. Guy puts beer in trunk of friends car then the cop comes up and it all starts. Because I was in the passenger seat of the car and there was alcohol in the trunk I got a MIP charge.
I do not even remember if I was sitting in the car when the cop came up or if I got in afterwords.

I'm 16 will be 17 in 8 days. Tho they wrote I was 17 on citation. What should I do is it worth getting a lawyer? Should I say guilty or not guilty.

My wife was forced to buy a prescription drug plan by the U.S. government a few months ago. She was told if she didn't they would charge her more. If she waited the U.S. government would penalize her. Today we got a notice that the rates are going to same the same but the private company that actually provides the plan is raising all the co-pays. This doesn't make sense... If this is supposed to be a government program, why are we forced to buy the plan from an insurance company?

My husband's former employer put a stop payment on our paycheck from two weeks ago, and is not returning our calls. He claims my husband owes him money for damage done to a work truck (he does concrete), but that's just to get out of filing an insurance claim which to the best of my understanding is also technically illegal. But, even if that were so, would it be legal for them to stop payment to us all together?

I want to settle a payment without getting my auto insurance involved. But I want this agreement in writing so that he cant screw me over and try to sue, blackmail or threaten me for more money. How do I go about doing this without a lawyer?

By all accounts that I've heard, lawyers (and others) routinely create new contracts based largely upon existing contracts they've come across in one way or another. If a novelist did the same (using others' novels) it would be copyright infringement. I've been told that copyright does not apply to legal documents because they are primarily functional, and not aesthetic, and therefore not subject to copyright. Sounds logical enough, but I'd like something a bit firmer than that - a web page or case law or something that spells it out.

I hit a pedestrian going about 10 miles per hour with my left front bumper. This is what happened
The sun was hitting my wind shield and he was wearing black and he was in the shadows. It was also almost 4 so it was really busy. I didn't see him till it was to late. He didn't even fall down and what is really strange is that he was hit by a car last week! His legs were a little bruised but he said they were like that from last week. He had 1 small scratch on his leg and he refused treatment from the ambulance.

Now he claims his leg is broken and that when I hit him I did it so hard that he flew up and hit my hood!!! The police report clearly states he was not knocked over nor was he hurt badly. He walked away!
What I want to know is if this can happen. Can he have a broken leg from a small tap and would he be able to walk away? He might be suing so will it hold up in court if it says in the police report that I hit him with my bumper and he changes his story?

with Novemember 5th on sunday "bonfire night"should the sale of fireworks to the public be banned? ..I mean after all fireworks are explosives, they are no better than a gun. around where I live kids as young as seven years old are letting them of in the streets, throwing them, sticking them into rubbish bags and letting them off..etc

I am not saying a outright total ban, fireworks should be only for organised controlled events where trainned people who know how to used fireworks properly.

I also they are a waste of money, I mean why spend al that money to hear a very loud bag and a spray of coloured light?I could think of far better things to spend my money on.

i'd like to know these lobby orgs. to implement a plan to consolidate all anti-prohibition orgs. into one cohesive unit . do you think these groups have fallen into the same trap most groups do i.e. fighting for the top spot so they can raise more money for themselves and party in d.c. for as many years as keith stroup has without accomplishing very much. is it true that we can win in a single state first? how about a full frontal attack in hawaii because it was first to legalize medical pot and has suffered the ice epidemic as a direct result of the drug war..why can't cnn. arrange a debate with our learned drug czar? does any body even know his name?
