My mum moved into a flat about 1 month ago. She came out in what looked like chicken pox, but turned out to be bed bug bites. When she moved in all her furniture was brand new. The place where she lives is like an old wattle and dawb house, we only found these bugs along 1 wall. Her landlord has gone bonkers, claiming she brought the bugs in with her. Thats obviously not the case, but he's being very unhelpful.

What are her rights, what can she do? She's had to have time off work, biopsie's alsorts, its been a nightmare, please help.

We move home last year and the old house was given to a estate agent to rent.
Now my ex-neighbour keeps phoning me because of what their new neighbour does.
She (the ex-neighbour) calls me if they park their car in front of her house or things like that. Once she rang because they had installed a sky dish which was obstructing her window.

I've told her many times that it was nothing to do with me anymore as she has to speak with estate agent. Am i correct?

What else can i do? Is there any law or website that says that is not my problem anymore? At the moment i'm just ignoring her phone calls but i want her to stop calling me....

Please advice me!What shall i do???

DON'T TELL ME IF IT'S RIGHT OR WRONG, THAT IS NOT MY QUESTION! I WOULDN'T DO IT ANYWAY!

I am just curious if, legally speaking, you can get your infant tattooed... because it seems to me that if you can get your babies ears pierced, or get him circumcised, why not tattooed? And yet, it seems so wrong... so it makes me really wonder if it would be legal to do so.

If piercing is not child abuse, what is?

If circumcision isn't, what is?

I don't need answers to those questions, I want to illustrate my point that I'm not looking for the moral aspect of this, because it's obvious. I read another answer for the same question and all people said was "Why would you want to do that? That's sick!" "No, you shouldn't!" and the like. THAT'S NOT WHAT I WANT TO KNOW.

IS IT LEGAL?

Does the law provide provisions, or rules , or rights or remedies where 'pro per' respondant/defendant to recieve equal protection
under the law in civil actions where the plaintiff lawyers have specialized
knowlwdge, and where the pro per has little to none?
Specifically, where the respondant/defendant, does't know and isn't told that
a memorandum is required in answer to plaintiff's motion for summary judgement,
and that failing to meet specific requirements of such returns or responses will
most likely result in judgement against them and in favor of the plaintiff?

There's recently been a campaign in the UK warning men that a woman isn't able to give consent to sex if she is intoxicated. However, if a woman has sex with a man who is drunk, isn't he unable to give consent, and thus a rape has been commited?

The Scottish headlines have been dominated by calls from MSP Helen Eadie to "eliminate children under 15 completely from the streets at night". She wants "zero tolerance".

The Labour MSP from Dunfermline East recently visited Cowdenbeath, in her constituency, to address the issue of anti-social behaviour...but when she got there her car was surrounded by "hoodies" and was rocked and damaged. Yes, this must have been a scary experience but is condemning ALL under 15s (the majority of whom are law abiding) to house arrest really the solution?

In the adult world, similar measures would never even be considered. For example, a minority of adults commit crimes like theft...could we show 'zero tolerance' and stick ALL adults in jail to prevent it from persisitently happening? I think not.

Condemning all kids to curfew as kneejerk reaction to her own scary experience is proposterous and penalises all the law abiding children who should be entitled to freedom at night, right?

The muslim community is very close knit. Hence each and every one of them will know someone (a friend of a friend say) who is somewhat militant to whatever degree. So why aren't they in the the police stations telling the police everything they know if they protest innocence.

There are cases on the rise, where Jawans, constables etc., have killed their superiors because of high level of stress, while on duty. It is alarming for the Security Personnel, who protect the dignity of the country and its' territory, when denied leave for relaxation or to visit home. Besides, this they perform 12-18 hours duty, because of the Love for Salary and Love for the country. When they get frustrated, they loose their cool and shoot the person in front. Such incidents are on the rise in India. I wish there are no such cases of frustrations, which we had experiencd in case of Indira Assisination, in 1984. It was because,- those killers were frustrated for the attack on Golden Temple by the Govt. Do you think that the Government should not do / repeat such acts, which may frustrate their own security and get involved in any such barbaric act of killing the VIP's. The leaders should be careful for the countrymen and their welfare and refrain from deviding the country- Agree ?

my uncle and aunt have sold land left to them and my mum without her permission.
I guessed they would need the signatures of all the children since it was left to all of them.
they approached my mum some years ago, but she wanted to hold onto the land as other family lived there.
Also if the sale has/ has not gone through what action can I take from England (the land is in jamaica) to stop the sale or to clarify the amount of sale and the persons authorising /
i think this may have been helped by a dodgy cousin working at a bank there.
if any one has any knowledge of the way things work there it would really help.

After all, the Prez is nobody special......it's just a 4 year contract job.

I'm not alluding to any individual, but rather asking a general question.

For some time it's been known that our presidents enjoy the "finer things in life" . That's ok with me, I just don't want him talking to the leaders of foreign countries after a couple drinks / lines / joints / pills or whatever.

Shouldn't our highest office holder lead by example? After all, you can hardly cook burgers at McDonald's anymore without a piss test.

How are the highest level goverment jobs exempt from the same rules that lower level, lower security clearance, less important jobs are?

Please state your opnion.

Ok, so I'm currently in a long distance relationship with this girl for over 6 months now and she has this pretty serious medical problem with her lungs, and hence she needs to keep her stress level down. Otherwise there is a chance that her lungs may fail and thus result in death. I tired breaking up with her recently and she said that if I break up with her and if the elevated stress becomes the cause of her death, I would be liable for it. So basically I am being forced into a relationship that I do not wish to be in. What should I do? And would I really be held liable in the worst case?
