After all, the Prez is nobody special......it's just a 4 year contract job.

I'm not alluding to any individual, but rather asking a general question.

For some time it's been known that our presidents enjoy the "finer things in life" . That's ok with me, I just don't want him talking to the leaders of foreign countries after a couple drinks / lines / joints / pills or whatever.

Shouldn't our highest office holder lead by example? After all, you can hardly cook burgers at McDonald's anymore without a piss test.

How are the highest level goverment jobs exempt from the same rules that lower level, lower security clearance, less important jobs are?

Please state your opnion.

Babyrawl: no, the president is nobody special. he is just a citizen like all of us and is subject to the same laws as everyone else.

and as far as performance in society being used as a basis for using drugs and alcohol, that is not an american value at all. laws apply equally (in theory, but unfortunately not practice) to everyone regardless of class, race, economic standing, or property holdings. this is an american value. thanks.

wildwhiskey: actually, although he is highest in chain of command, the president answers to one very important entity (dare i say essential?) THE PEOPLE!

Nope, he's the highest in the chain of command,,who's he going to answer,, people who generally smoke pot, and want to legalize it in the Nevada election this week??? or ,, okay, the "moral majority",, lmao.. that is a funny/stupid question, and it's way to long, and not true, other government workers, those working DFAS, civil servants aren't tested. You've confused too many issues, one of drug testing, which can lead to privacy issues, and other platforms of discussions, which already exist, and your assumption that all government workers, have morals, and should be tested, and that holding the presidential seat is worthy only to a demigod, who doesnt' display humanisitic character flaws.. you actually condone drug use, (you didn't have any conviction against it)??? so seems you'd allow it either way, as long as he outted himself,, which we already know he has done, so did Clinton, soooo,, what is the point? If they can cover up Foley, (dems and Republicans) whats a train track of blow between friends??? LMAO!!!

Yes he should be drug tested. In fact I think he should stand in line like the rest of us in our city/county government. I got drug tested the first 6 times in a row they drug tested. But the funny thing is they call you the day before. To me it would be easy (now Im not sayin i tired this or anything..lol) all you would have to do is have someone pee in a condom , put in the the microwave for 3 secs to warm it up, put it in your bra or underwear with a tiny pair of nail scissors and you are home free. No, they didn't follow us in the bathroom to watch us either. But we wouldn't have to worry about W because I don't think his mind is clear enough to think of doing all that to past. :)

I'd like to test his drugs, they must be real good for him to think things are ok on the ground in Iraq, the economy works for the working man, and to believe all the rest of the bs he wants us to buy into.

Anybody who performs any important duty or employment should be drug-tested. He has to make very important decisions and should have a clear mind to do so; that goes for any job.

usually grunts get drug tested -- not many managers are ever drug tested. nobody said life was fair. when you scald milk the scum is on the top.

by the way the president's favorite past time is in lines. he isn't allowed to drink anymore because he gets messy when he does.

You know I never thought about this, but I do agree. After-all technically the President is who our troops are directed by and I know I don't want someone who is taking drugs to be directing my husband while he is in a dangerous situation.

Yes, the president IS somebody special. If you want to "enjoy the finer things" in life, you must perform. If you do nothing, you will be nothing.

actual, i think of this is a reasonable request. i think of it would take an act of congress to require it. i've got faith the voters of our u . s . a . have a superb to renowned if our President is abusing unlawful factors on an analogous time as in workplace. regardless of if, i think of it relatively is going to be limited so as that somebody had to purpose the commander and chief must be compelled cutting-edge possibly reason to request a urine attempt.
