I recently rewatched the movie Monster's Ball, and the main characters had family graves on their property.

Can people do that?

If my parents died, and I owned land, could I bury them on my property? (not that I'd want to)

(cut and pasted) John Yoo publicly argued there is no law that could prevent the President from ordering the torture of a child of a suspect in custody – including by crushing that child’s testicles.

The Bush admin seems to think you can do whatever you want in order to get information from a suspect.

If you doubt the veracity of the link or quote please prove me wrong. You are also able to listen to the exchange between Cassel and Yoo if you click the link found in the story.

My Dad owned the plot before he remarried. His wife is a terrible woman who forced me into sneaking around to visit or talk to my Dad in his final days. When he died she had him creamated and buried in this plot.My siblings and I were excluded from all the decisions and were not even told about his burial until after it was done. Her son dug the hole for the urn in the family plot with no preacher to pray or anything. The spot where he is buried is next to his older brother and both his parents(his whole family). Now this woman is in the hospital dying and her children are making plans to bury her ashes with my dad's. I have told them I would like if they buried her elsewhere because I don't think she should be buried in his family plot.( My mother was married to my father for 20 years and she never expected to be buried with his family. This woman was only married to my father for 10 years.) Her childrens' view is why should they buy a plot when dad's still has room for her.

... Would it make a difference if the guy were a 15 year old boy, who'd been raped by gunpoint by his own dad and brother?

I used to work in a juvenile mental health facility, and a big kid there, that was his history.

I don't like people sexually abusing kids, but I think usually they've got a painful history and are just re-enacting the life they've lived.

Thanks for your feedback.

I don't have a car. Late one night I was walking home and was hungry and noticed a fast food restaurant had their drive-thru lane open, but the restaurant wasn't open to walk in. I walked up to the window, but they refused to serve me, saying it was against their policy as it could be dangerous for a person to be standing in the drive-thru lane.
I was very upset and felt like I was being treated like a second class citizen. I decided to just stand there and keep repeating the food order. They decided to just ignore my presence. But then a car pulled up and ordered at the order station.
The person at the window got the manager, who came to the window and told me I'd have to move or they'd call the police. I said 'you do what you feel is right. that's what I'm doing.'

The manager left, and I chose to just walk away, feeling pretty down.

Later I realized I could have asked the people in the car to order for me.

Could I have been arrested? What do you think of all this

this morning at my place of employment one of my patients came running into the kitchen pulled out his penis and started to self gratify himself..telling the other staff "come here, hurry, hurry, come here now!"

no this is not a joke..it shocked the heck out of us. I called the emergency contact and told them what happened and what were we supposed to do in a situation like this..she said "deal with it, if he wants to have sex with someone in front of you, you have to deal with it"

I don't think this is right..so i called my "big boss" and asked him..he said all female staff is going to be pulled out as of this afternoon

my husband says we have a possibility of a sexual harassment lawsuit..i'm wondering is that true considering something of similar situation happened the day before and nothing was done about it?

I had a contract with an adoption agency , in the contract it states that the $250 application fee is non refundable, i understand that. It does not state anything else about any other money and we sent in a couple installments and have decided not to go with this agency (whom by the way has not doen anything for us yet ) they claim that even though it doesn't state it in the contract that they keep all of the money and if we ever decide to adopt from them even 10 years from now our money will be there. i don't agree with that and since the contract does nto state that the money is non refundable they should have to return it.

why is there no mainstream political party or forthright politician supporting them? I'd vote for anyone who wanted to end all the PC nonsense. At the moment, all I can think of doing in the next election is spoiling my ballot. You can't even have a religious Christmas card on your desk at work, for goodness' sake, in case someone takes offense! Even most of the ethnic minorities don't support it and personally, I think it's patronising to them as well as offensive to us! There is even a law which has recently been passed which states that you can be arrested for wearing / saying something which can be subjectively construed as offensive. I am offended by burkhas and what they symbolise, but I am pretty sure that MY concern wouldn't be enforced. If I wore a t-shirt, however, which said "I find burkas offensive", you can bet your **** I'd get arrested!
The whole country's gone mad for the sake of a few nutters who want to kill us all anyway and the tofu-muchers who work in the council!

An attorney representing a local water utility seeks to get easements signed to move a water main that currently runs through his back yard. He needs water main moved because he needs to construct a new septic system in his back yard. He could pay for the new water main himself and affect no other property owner in the area, but instead is attempting to get easements that would allow placement of new water main through several other property owners lots paid for by the water utility.
