Specifically in a court of law in the U.S.

Please don't give me your personal opinions. I only want to know how this is defined for criminal/ethical purposes.

we live in the state of florida (Broward county). we are planning on moving out of state and right now, the home we are renting, we are paying on a month to month basis.
our landlord just stuck a letter in our door while we were out and it stated that they want us out by the 26th of this month since they would like to lease the property to their relative.

Is this legal?? a two week eviction......i would think we would get at least 30 days.

my husband was pulled over for and expired lisence plate (we didn't know it had expired the day before) and git a ticket for no insurence. this happened almost 6 years ago in Arkansas. my husband can't get a drivers lisence now because arkansas suspended it and we don't have $800 to spare to pay the fine. is there a law that says how long arkansas has to collect this fine before they have to close the case and never come after him again? it's a misdemeander but if we go to arkansas and get pulled over my husband will get arrested. over having no insurence.

he never went to court because we didn't have the money to pay the ticket ($150) obviously if we had the money to pay the ticket we would have had insurence. is there anything we can do? we just can't pay the fine. not without taking food off our kids plates.

Is this an actual court case? Do I go in front of a Judge? I do not know what a summons is? Could it be about an unpaid parking ticket or something to that effect?

Please answer if you have any information on this. Thank you

Im currently in court for visitation. My exwife remarried and kept our children from me. I filed contempt and thier court kept switching dates.Since she tried to have them adopted by her husband & changed thier names without my knowledge. Her case was dissmissed. Her husband refiled and my attorney charged me an extra $1000 & still has'nt filed a contempt but say's that he filed for my visitation with he kids ( I haave'nt seen it). Now my attorney is the ex prosecutor and his wife is head of legal aid .For 4 years I was denide, regardless of me being disabled because there was no case of domestic violence. However I have on paper where legal aid ( his wife) represented a woman who was charged with domestic violence and this girl works a good job. My friend sees his son but know he has no rights.I have so much paperwork proving this is all true.It was explained to me that the HOMERULE LAW enables a community to revise it's laws to suit the community, though it breaks federal laws? File???

I am 6' 5' and 210 lean muscular pounds and a 5' 8" tall yuppie took me out. I was shocked.

Then I realized, the Spirit of Tyranny helped him knock a free man down.

Will I rise again?

This person says they don't need to shoot up heroin but they want to. I asked why they want to and they replied because it feels good. How do I argue against this using logical reasoning/formal logic? This person is a lawyer-to-be and and insisted that only a good logical argument could convince them to stop. I pointed out health risks like OD and death but this person pointed out that they 're not an addict and that they would be more likely to die driving a car. I said "feeling good" isn't a good justification and they pointed out that I play sports to feel good so how was heroin use different or less justified? I feel the answer is on the tip of my tongue but I just can't work it out.

My friend has no priors and has two felony charges pending. Could he at least get no time in prison or probation? He attends to hire an attorney to help in this case.

ok...the thing is i am a senior in high school now and i am thinking about majoring in law when i go to college...i am looking at 2 colleges right now, Temple University and Univeristy of Pennsylvania...(close by to home, Philadelphia) I've done some research and it seems as though that they do not have a pre-law major and one of them only has legal studies, UPenn...and i am not sure what to do...in the future i would like to become a civil lawyer...so what major should i consider??? and what do i need to do now in order to prepare for college...also i am in the International Baccaulerette program and only UPenn accept the credits...and this IB program is supposably preparing me for college...but nothing to do with law....i dont know what to do exactly,...i want to major in law in college and go to law school afterwards...so what should i do to prepare myself ????

My public pretender and the DA have used "DNR" to present to the Judge in my court case. I still do not know why they are referring this and the judge accepting it. Other than 'Do Not Resuscitate', etc. I cannot find anything other than "Dismiss And Reinstate". If that's it, then why 2x to the judge? And OK'd as well?

When positive proof is documented, that illegal aliens or non-citizens are plotting to perform terrorist acts in and upon the United States, it's people or property, would you vote to approve an amendement revoking all their rights under the Constitution, and authorizing the use of deadly force in their apprehension?

My friend has two felony charges pending. He has no priors. Would he get a better deal if he hires a private attorny or stick with a public defender. The public defender is not working in his favor. The Public defender is barely working for him. I want positive feed back from people who have experience this situation or can relate to it. thank you
