Of course your right, 99% of the country thinks you're right, but it's that 1% that thinks it knows best that is causing all this. The BNP is the only mainstream party opposed to such views, but never vote for them on account of their being racist. The best option is the Tories, who are much less PC than Labour and the LibDems.
There was a pub with the word 'pig' or 'pork' in it's name (I can't remember which), near to a mosque, which was forces to change it's name because Muslims might find it offensive.
Notice, they never said 'Muslims 'HAVE FOUND' or 'FIND' it offensive, it's always the assumption that they might. That's ridiculous, I'm all for tolerance, but you can't come to a country and complain that that country's culture/customs or the way it behaves doesn't suit you, and almost none of them do. If they don't like it they're under no obligation to stay. The authorities should realise this.
If they'd have thought about it, no reasonable person would have been offended by the pubs name. Anyone who did should shut up and get used to the country he or his family came to live in, or get out.
PC is terrible in every way. It is an affront on freedom of speech for starters. The politicians use it to try to dictate the way we act and think. Tony Blair and his labour cabinet, for instance, openly hate England. Since they came to power, the preposterous idea that the English flag and being proud of England is racist has come to the surface. Blair himself said 'there is no such country as England'. On the other hand, the Scottish, Welsh or Irish flags and national identities are openly encouraged. That's discrimination, but I'm getting sidetracked now.
The problem is PC again. The point is they're using it to try to force political opinions down out throats, as can be seen in the way England is now considered unPC. Of course, sensibly, anyone who were to come to a country and subsequently claim that countries flag, culture or national identity offended them ought to get the hell out. The authorities shouldn't respect opinions that fly in the face of reason
The reasons no mainstream political parties oppose it, is because they'd immediately be denounced as racist, and compared to the BNP. It's unfortunate that the government we have now would do exactly that to anyone who dares oppose it.
The other problem is the gov thinks it knows best, and knows what will offend people. Of course, they couldn't have it so that there was a tiny chance someone could be offended could they?! It's a pity then only care about the minorities, I think it's that they fear being called racist themselves, and gone into overdrive to prove otherwise, ignoring the majority in the process.

Yep you're completely right. Buts theres nothing the politicians can do about it. What do you want them to do? out law political correctness?!!! Its come about with an over acceptance of other races, and a positive discrimination for fear of being labelled racist. See it all the time. Ethnicity monitoring on a job application 'So we can monitor our blahs and make sure that the application process is fair' excuse me, but WHAT THE ****!?!?!?! Surely it would be a fairer process if you DIDNT know my race? Since when has that been an issue? Oh thats right, since the double standard came into play meaning that because im a home grown white male, i stand less of a cahnce to get the job than some black man that i'm better qualified and more reliable than. All the homeless brits, poor buggers, their govs turned against them and decided nope, you're white, it woudl be racist if we helped you out and not these foreigners that have no claim to help from us whatsoever. Blacks can get away with calling us whatever the hell they want, as soon as a white says the world *****, its racist. I live with a bunch of asians, and i asked a genuine question about asian people, i cant remember what it was, but 'oh you cant say that its not right' 'well i didnt put it in a way in which you could take offense. were you offended?' 'no but you just cant say that' As for wasting your vote, they should have an option saying 'none fit for office' or something to that extent, because lets face it, Labour are rubbish, Lib Dems probably want to disuade robbers by giving tem extra benefits because it was societies fault that they commited a crime, and the tories, well, less said the better! As it stands i'm voting BNP. Although they are too far right for my liking, theyre closer to where i am than any other party.
As for political correctness, it all boils down to equality. At the moment ethnics are so equal they have superior rights to us. In my view its more racist to worry about being racist than it is to let something slip that MAY cause offense but probably wont, and not notice. Not noticing. THATS equality.

Come on Kelly you know you want straight cucumbers and rich jobs for ex labour prime ministers. Its called Europe, however we seem to be the only country that is taking human rights as right. Children are loosing their childhood, don't climb, don't play games at school conkers can kill. Be as offensive as you want to be but not if you are white and British. The problem is its not the immigrants or other faiths, its the British do-gooders causing the problem.

Nonsense on all 3 counts. Freedom of speech ability being allowed to assert what you like is particularly, not having human beings accept as true with something you're saying, or not having every person ever be offended with the aid of something you're saying. it rather is not any form of authoritarian administration to, dunno, not desire to hearken to racist jokes. in case you have been imprisoned for it with the aid of the government, you've got a factor. i don't know Ruth Perry, yet would not have confidence her or Wikipedia to be authoritative in this factor. I bear in mind the novel left interior the Sixties, and not in basic terms did we not use the term "political correctness", yet once you hear to previous speeches with the aid of those radicals, you will wince at their political incorrectness. The term got here into prevalent use a protracted time later.

WELL SAID!!!! I wonder if the 'tofu-munchers' who come up with all of this c rap realise that what they are doing is provoking more racial division. They are so obsessively terrified of offending one group of people that they are coming up with such ridiculous ideas such as crematoriums can no longer have crosses, that they are offending another group. Its like, one Council said that Christmas could no longer be called Christmas, it had to be know as 'Winter fest'. How bloody ridiculous is that? The thing is, the vast majority of members of other religions are completely against these stupid rules anyway so the councils are pleasing absolutely no one.

Absolutely right Kelly, I agree with you 100% this Government has tried to please everyone (in order to win votes) and has ended up p****ng everyone off, I do think Labour is far worse than the Conversatives ever were at least the Conversatives were blantantly faschist - not these sneaky, stealthy anti -personal liberty stealing "socialists".

I feel politivlally correct is in itself in correct because quite often enough politicians seem to prove tehemselves incorrect by thier actions or words. If they can not spek or act without giving offense, why should we ry and imitate them. SAY YOU YOU WANT< NOT TWHAT THEY WANT YOU TO SAY.

I'm not racist, but you can carry a thing too far...like spoiling a dog rotten and then complaining when it bites you.
