Yes, the local police can pick you up and extradite you.
At this point, you should speak to your attorney, so he/she can negotiate your warrant. This might save you the hassle of several days in jail.
You better start putting your affairs in order.

Generally no, Bench Warrents are only issued as a punishment. But the good thing is that, they don't come to your house to pick you up. They can only get you if they pull you over and generally they wont transport over 50 miles. So you might be lucky on this one. Hope everything turns out ok . . .

I'm seeing a lot of wrong answers to this question. . .
Yes, they absolutely can arrest you for a bench warrant from another state. Whether you are driving, a passenger in a car, walking, or at home is not relevant. A warrant for your arrest is a warrant for your arrest, and other states will generally honor it (full faith and credit clause of U.S. Constitution). If a cop lets you off because he doesn't think it's worth the hassle, he is more avoiding his duty than following the law.

yes, they can.It would only be 30 days in jail for failing to appear. It will be riding on your shoulders all the time so it is best to get it over with and if you give yourself up,they will go easier on you, then if they have to bring you in.The police won't go looking for you but if you are out in a car and they run your name, the warrant will show up.Then away you go.
So, you can keep hiding or get it over with.
