Sometimes spanking doesn't work. Sometimes you have to get harsher. Belts, beatings, whatever it takes to controll your BRATTY sons and daughters.

Since it's just punishment why is it against the law?

When somebody commit a suicide , he is a quitter because he was not courageous enough to confront life and its problems so he quits . He puts his family and relatives in trouble : they will cry , be sad , pay for his funerals ...etc while he is somewhere resting in peace or having good times in hell or in heaven or something......
I think we should figure out the way a special way to treat their corpses ; like feed them to sharks or to wild animals or burn them or put them to jail or something . what do you think ? Got a better way ?

a contractor i worked for hasn't paid me for work i've done. the owner says he's paid the contractor, the contractor says the owner hasn't, yet the contractor doesn't seem to be making an effort to collect. can i put a lien on the properties in question? i live in california Thank you for all the responses. A little more detail might be in order. The "owner" in this is an investment group. This all started when a man named Royce asked me to work for him after seeing my work, at 1st I thought he was apart of the group turns out he was some kind of project manager. This is where things get jumbled. one day the head of this investment group "Andy" calls me directly and says Royce is being let go but the "group" wants me and my partner to stay on, along with one other man, the before mentioned "contractor" mike is his name. The 3 of us decided to team up under this mans license. Since that moment mike ran things into the ground and I get another call from Andy asking if I’d be willing to

I want to sue walmart as a customer...A piece of an awnning fell on me when I was having lunch with my husband because the wind blew it and the top came off. I submitted my claim to their insurance company and they called it "an act of nature" and denied my claim. THE AWNNING WAS NEVER PROPERLY SECURED TO THE BASE OF THE UNIT! And they put it back up the next day, finally after the 3rd. time it fell, they took it down, because it was "dangerous" however, I am now $600 out of pocket for medical bills from this incident. I can't afford an attorney, how do I pursue this case on my own?

have the duty of being an executor for a deceased friend. I have been keeping track of my hours spent doing paperwork and making phone calls to resolve some of his debts, etc. I'm almost finished and have 250 hours so far. I think the average rates are different from region to region....also I am not a lawyer....can I get any feedback on this issue....Thanks if you have a thought!

Some of us have received the European Lotto letters in the mail with a nice check. Sure, deposit the check in your account, send the "Lotto" company their cut, and watch the check bounce from one wall to the next. Be forewarned, they are doing it here, too. I just received an IM from a poor lady from the UK saying her US clients won't send her payment unless she sets up a bank account in the US. (Wells Fargo or Bank of America). If you are nice enough (and stupid) to set up an account in your name for her "US" clients to deposit payment in, she will gladly give you 10% of the check. Just an FYI for all my "real" friends out there....

Assuming that such technology is available for sale (as it appears to be), are there any clear federal or state laws prohibiting its use against non-consenting populations, either via mass media or in public places (e.g., Wal-Mart)?

Should it at least be outlawed on state flags. Since the Confederate flag is a symbol of southern secession, which was an illegal act and a symbol of many racist atrocities, be banned from state flags and/or flying over state capitols? Isn't it a symbol of treason and evil? Don't give me any of that southern pride **** because there are plenty of black people who are proud of the 'dirty south' and their southern heritage and they are flying the bars and stars.

To make a long story short, I work in a hospital & was going up a stairwell when I ran into a stack of heavy duty corner bead (used on corners when plastering walls) . A contractor doing work on the hospital layed it down extending out over the stairs & acrossed & blocking the next set down. Only I was coming up the stairs & ran my head right into them & knocked em down. I may have looked to grab my wallet outta my purse, but security is not happy whatever the case may be. They said theres no reason those idiots should have left them there. All of this was caught on the security tape. I was only treated by the employee nurse. Which was fine, but now it seems to be that I am going to have a nice scar there. I have very good complexion & no scars on my face, I am going to be furios if it leaves one. SO MY QUESTION IS. Do I have a case? If I end up with a scar from an injury, do to their neglegence can I sue them?

I read about a man who was ticketed for taping over the state slogan on his car license plate. He claimed infringement of free speech and won (US Supreme Court).
So my question is how!? It seems to me there was no issue about his speech...the slogan is not his speech but the state's. He can no more choose to cover up the slogan than to drive without a plate or license. Didn't he implicitly agree to adhere the plate to his car, as is, by applying for a license in the first place?

Here’s the situation, wife wants to “hide” and protect money set aside for savings and retirement, etc. from husband with major gambling problem. Will having a savings or brokerage account in her name and a daughter’s name only be sufficient to protect from any “legal” proceedings (eg. Divorce, separation) or does the account need to be placed in a living trust or other estate planning tool? This issue seems to me that the money put away constitutes as “community property” in CA. CA is a community and no-fault divorce state.
