I want to sue walmart as a customer...A piece of an awnning fell on me when I was having lunch with my husband because the wind blew it and the top came off. I submitted my claim to their insurance company and they called it "an act of nature" and denied my claim. THE AWNNING WAS NEVER PROPERLY SECURED TO THE BASE OF THE UNIT! And they put it back up the next day, finally after the 3rd. time it fell, they took it down, because it was "dangerous" however, I am now $600 out of pocket for medical bills from this incident. I can't afford an attorney, how do I pursue this case on my own?

The problem is that you have to show that Walmart was at fault in how it tended to the awning. You'll need specific facts about that particular store and awning. You'll also need similar cases that were decided in court about negligence, duty, injury and general things like that which are close enough to what happened to you to convince a judge or jury that what happened to you really happened to you. Walmart can do this pretty easily. Someone you hire can do this with some effort. You might be able to do this with a lot of effort. If you want to pursue it, check with the pro se law clerk at your courthouse. Online check out places like findlaw and nolo. It's an uphill battle, with or without a lawyer, but it is nor insurmountable.

Go to small claims court.

Wal Mart has a reputation for fighting to the death on even small claims though, so if you try to hire a lawyer, you'll probably have trouble getting anyone to take such a small case.

HIRE A LAWYER! You don't have to have money to hire a lawyer, just a good case. If you have a good case, the lawyer is going to get takin care of as well as you. If you take on Walmart's defense attorney's yourself, you're going to get screwed. Call a lawyer, you can talk to them for free, if you have a good case, they'll take it.

You are going to have to bite the bullet and hire an attorney.
You CAN'T do it as well, or as successfully without one.
Unfortunately! Many lawyers work on a contingency basis -
you don't pay them until you win. If you lose it's free!
Just talk to one, silly.

They are lawyers out there who are WAITING on fire on such incidents "one call, that's all" lawyers... It's free to sue but they share what you get ...

Call one of them, I don't know where you live but here in Georgia there are too many of them.

once you call one, they let you know if you're qualified or not .. lawyers will find a way to get some money don't worry .!!

oh,, by the way , you should get AFLAC insurance.. They pay in CASH lol

i detect this finished element fairly Hilarious, yet I completely trust this senator. Our courtroom structures are held up by utilising such countless stupid issues, that the genuine crimes and trials that surely ought to ensue quickly won't be able to ensue. i'm a Christian, and that i've got self belief in God completely, yet i might do the comparable element as a assertion to the government that they ought to alter. i comprehend that God would not be mad at me, and that i may be praying regular that our idiotic courtroom device might finally get the hint.

find an attorney that will take your case pro bono. if you cant find a lawyer that will take it, that probably tells you something about your case.

you really should have a lawyer. there's an old saying: "the man who represents himself has a fool for a client"

Find out what the small claims cap is in your province (or state). Then file yourself.
