These folks let their 17-year-old daughter invite a 21-year-old man from out of state to come visit for a few days. Isn't that child endangerment?

Not long after my dad passed two years ago, it was discovered he had some property. It was sold, and the money left is to be divided between my half-sister, stepmother and I. However, my half-sister argued about the amount not being enough, so stepmom told her lawyer to put the matter through probate. My stepmother hasn't said much about progress on the matter since that time, and I'm wondering what is the problem. Since my half-sister has been harassing her since before Dad passed and afterwards, I would think my stepmom would want to lean more on her lawyer to settle things and permanently get her off her back. Unlike my half-sister, I do work for a living, so I'm not desperate for the money. However, I have a few bills that the funds would pay off completely. I don't want to bug my stepmother constantly about this, but it seems that two years is long enough to settle Dad's estate. It is not like he was a millionaire.

Okay first off my husband works as a truck driver. He delivers milk to Dominicks in Chicagoland area. In one of the Dominicks there was a patch of ice that he slipped and fell on and his back is hurt. His boss sent him to the doctor(don't know whats wrong yet as this just happened not to long ago.) Is this reasoning for a lawsuit against them if there is something wrong with my husband? And is so does anyne know any good lawyers in Chicagoland that could take this case up but not recieve anything until the lawsuit is over. My husband took picture(with his phone) of the patch of ice and the store # and location. He may be out of work too. He said it hurt to walk. Help Please............

Everyone follows laws that they have only heard of through word of mouth. For example, I have never seen the official document that says a 30 year old cannot have sex with a 14 year old, but I know that this is illegal. I know that it's illegal to drive drunk, but only because other people say it is. Suppose I want to be a responsible citizen and actually look up the laws for my city, state, and country (I'm in the U.S.). How do I do that?

If you're going to give me a website, how would I do it *without* your website?

My daughter and I worked at the same business and it was robbed. My daughter was hurt. I have now quit and my unemployment has been denied. Going thru an appeal and I have to send in a brief. I cant find any points relied on to help get the denial over turned. Any ideas?

If you file a Demand for Discovery 2 times including a compel decision in the last 8 months but the other party did not comply by the rules and just ignored this Demand but on the hearing day the other party provides the evidence ????.The Judge was aware of this but did not object to it not even after you point it out to him twice he just went on with the hearing. Is this not bias on the Judges part and he is breaking the court rules?
By law the accused is allowed to ask for evidence I assume I am 100 % sure on this but the evidence should be presented to you before the hearing least 30 days if they dont have any evidence than I would assume they have to give you a response also before the hearing.
Would this be a reason to appeal ?
Need your opinion.

Can the British police enter private property without a warrent or the permission of the householder?

Ive heard of a couple of instances where police have turned up to a house party and 'forced' entry without an invitation.

Has the law been changed with the 'war on terror' that I didnt hear about?

I own a vehicle that has everything in my name only. This ex of mine has it and has not paid on it. He is running from child support and god know what else. I carry full coverage insurance on it also. I am not for sure were he is at this time. Last i knew he was in Green river Wy. I have to make the payment and keep the insurance up just to keep my credit. The law here in Kansas says that i have to get a lawyer and that before anything can be done i will have to know where he is. They cant even turn it in as stolen. I do not have the money for a lawyer and to me this just isnt right. Does anyone have advise for me. Please

My ex-boyfriend of 11 years (whom I have 4 children with) was arrested almost 4 months ago for stealing a truck. He is in the county jail. He has not been sentenced and there is no pending court date at this point in time. How long can someone just sit there with nothing happening? Isn't there some sort of speedy trial law?

The six people you send it to are supposed to continue the chain and eventually you are supposed to get 36 pairs of flip-flops (not that anyone needs that many.) Is this considered a chain letter? And if so, is this actually illegal? If it is illegal, does anyone know why?

I just had a baby(well 10 months ago) and I have to go back to work next monday.
i took a year off to take care of her but now I have to go back. She started nursery at the end of june but beggining of august we were told they had to move to another location but hadn't find a new place yet.At the moment noone knows if the nursery is going to reopen or not.

for the past 2 weeks I have been looking for another nursery without great success( either they don't have vacancy or they don't take babies under a year old , the state of the nursery is awfull or it is too expensive) .I am still waiting for some replies.

I was wondering if I call my employer and ask him for 2 extra weeks unpaid if he had to give them to me under the working law for parents?I live in London and hopefully I will have find a nursery in the next 2 weeks.please help.
