Unfortunately, no. Your daughter is not eligible for SSI soley because of her father's eligibility. She is only eligible if she, too, is disabled and meets the income and resource limit requirements. Some non-disabled children do indeed receive benefits when their parent(s) is disabled, but that is only true under the SSDI program. People often confuse these two programs.
SSI = Supplemental Security Income
SSDI = Social Security Disability Insurance
Here's a link to Social Security's on-line screening tool: http://www.ssa.gov/d&s1.htm
Your daughter may be eligible for other supports such as foodstamps, cash aid and Medicaid. Check with your local welfare office.

SSI is for the disabled person, no benefits for dependents are attached. Dependent benefits are only available to those who have paid enough into Social Security to receive Social Security or Social Security Disability (SSD). Under either SSI or SSD, the person receiving benefits may work and make a limited amount per month, but the benefit from either program is not based on ability to work. Earnings in excess of the maximum limit reduce the benefit and, at some point, will cause the person to lose benefits because they are no longer considered disabled.

Yes, absolutely. My father was on SSI and disabled when I was 10. I collected SSI until I was 13...he died...then the SSI benefits increased.

I think your daughter should be able to get a check off of his SSI if he has an obligation to pay child support, I have a neighbour who's daughter gets a child support check from her dad's SSI
