In Florida a tenant abandons personal property, if the property is worth less than $500, the landlord can do what they want with the personal property (keep it, sell it, trash it) but if the personal property is worth more than $500 the landlord must put the personal property for public sale - is a tag sale considered a public sale?

My hubby got busted with drug abuse, paraphenilia, carrying a concealed weapon, and driving without a license. The judge said he will have a min of 21 months if found guilty(he plead not guilty). Tomorrow is his pre-trial. Will/Can he go to jail then, or will they wait until the actual trial? Also, what will they do tomorrow at the pre-trial?

Any info would help. Thanks!

I was involved in a accident may 24 and the other guy was at fault. I was rear ended and having problems with my back. I went to the er twice, seen a family doctor, got referred to the chrio, that didn't help so now i have another appt. with my family doc to get a referrl to get a mri done. Before all that my bills add up to $7000. Now I have talked to a layer for free, signed nothing, and he told me i probably won't get that much. How much would I get if I would settle without a lawyer? Or would i do better with a layer?Please advise.I need help. This is my 2nd accident and i got screwed last time.

My manager wants to kick me out because she doesn't like my x-boyfriend coming over to my apartment "becuase he looks like he's on drugs" according to her. I have told him that he couldn't come over or be on the property for this reason but he still shows up but I can't help that i have told him time and time again to not come by here but he still does someone told her that he was over here during the weekend so she gave me a 3 days notice Is this considered harrassment or invasion of privacy for her to do this

Political compromise is great when practical.

There is not a lot that Pro/Anti abortion folks can agree on but I believe this is a great step toward reducing abortion that both sides should agree with.

Take profit out of abortion.

If we drew up legislation that would keep abortion legal but would only allow it to be performed by not-for-profit agencies, this would go along way toward reducing the propaganda that is pushed into an industry that I think we can all agree should not be motivated by money.

What say you?

I have always been a good person or at least tried to be and a few weeks ago my son and I were in a accident not my fault. I was stopped to turn on our road to go home and the person behind me stopped as well because traffic on the other side was busy and this guy behind her was not paying attention and hit the truck behind me and it made the truck hit my car and caused a chain reaction and now I have to have physical therpy for 4 weeks and my son is child with special needs was fine thank god so I called a lawyer and will meet with one soon so did I do the right thing because I just want to make sure my son and I are protected that is all was so did I?

my friend left her partner and wanted to claim benifits as she didnt want to leave small baby. she has worked for 10 yrs and only wanted benifits till child was at school. she was had to wait 4 weeks for any money and in the meantime was given two carrier bags of food. as she had nothing.wich would be fair enough but asylum seekers get not only the benifits (a s a p) but food vouchers as well when she was told take what your given(very degrading i think)

A case was filed against me for not being registered under the PNDT Act in 2001 though the Act was amended to include ultrasound machines only in 2003.

There has been no relief to me because as the Government is involved, it is able to pressurise the district and lower judges.

I have got as proof an affidavit from the Govt. of India and a decision by the High Court that the registration of Ultrasound Machines was made amndatory on 14.2.2003

This is not about me. Two of my friends, who do not know each other, had to file bankrupsy because of the change in their wages with the econmy as it is. Recently, We have been recieving a lot of letters addressed to our landlord from some Credit Solicitors's Office. (It couldn't be anything good.) My wife and I are worried that legal action maybe taken against our landlord. We have a two year tenancy agreement (including an inventory list of the things that the landlord owns.) If the landlord declare themselves to be bankrupt, is it true that evrything inside their property can be siezed?
