A case was filed against me for not being registered under the PNDT Act in 2001 though the Act was amended to include ultrasound machines only in 2003.

There has been no relief to me because as the Government is involved, it is able to pressurise the district and lower judges.

I have got as proof an affidavit from the Govt. of India and a decision by the High Court that the registration of Ultrasound Machines was made amndatory on 14.2.2003

if what u say is true, you can certainly get relief from the High Court. As per Art. 20 of the constitution of india, no person can be charged with an offence whcih was not an offence under any law at that time. amendment of the act at a later date is irrelevant. you can file a petition under sec. 482 of CrPC praying for quashing of hte charge sheet.

File an amended answer to counter the allegations in the amended complaint against you in 2003. Every pleading that is charged against you can be replied to appropriately under the Rules of Court.
