There is an ancient law in Britain that states a man may legally beat his wife, providing the stick is no thicker than his thumb. From this we get the saying "Rule of Thumb".

Some women and men play games in a relationship which are dangerous, and make their lives more exciting. These games mean that they live on the edge, and this is part of what they like about being together.
They learn to play this game from their life experiences, and they stay together because it is how they understand relationships work. They would both be bored in another relationship.
When the game goes too far, both participants play a part. The wife goads, and may even beat the husband. He will take if for a while, but will explode like a volcano every now and then.
I also think that some women get sexually excited by this form of behaviour, as it could well have been a learned experience from their first sexual excounters. For example they may find spanking quite arousing, even though it is a form of wife beating.

If distinguishing an offensive action of 'beating' vs a defensive act that results in injury to the wife, I can't see where beating anyone can be justified. If you are thinking of a specific scenario that you wonder about, it would be interesting to hear it and then evaluate that on it's own merits.
Then on a less serious note, which I know I shouldn't bring up, the only rare circumstance that I might in my wildest imagination think of as an explanation, maybe not justification, for such an offensive act is if you happen to be "checking her for bees". But you better FIND some bees.

child beating would never be justified by anyone with half a brain, so i don't know where you get that idea from. I have smacked my child on the hand on occasion for attempting to grab dangerous things, which i feel is understandable (better a slap on the hand than a burnt/broken/trapped one!). Can wife beating ever be justified? Why are you comparing the two anyway? Its like saying if a wife doesn't obey her husband she should be beaten, like a child might be spanked? So, no it cant, i mean, what could a man ever be able to say that would justify beating his own wife? 'she didn't cook the tea properly so i hit her?' men who beat women should be strung up by the penis, in my opinion.

*Women are not children! A great deal of them are much more mature than men anyway. If we are the same age as you, and we don't belong to you, than what justifies you to hit us and not have us hit you back? This question is not well thought out, and you know it's cowardly and low of a man to feel right in hitting a woman. A child needs discipline, but a woman gets all the discipline she needed as a child from her parents, just like men. So it's not up to a man to teach his woman any lesson. And if you really think it's okay to hit a woman, I'm sorry but I suggest counseling. If you would hit me, you'd be down on the floor, lol... Only my father or mother can hit me.*
Heck no. Men who hit women are little kids with temper tantrums who are mad because they can't control anything. So they pick on someone smaller than them. My mom's bf was just calling them fags yesterday, lol... Instead of doing that, grow up, be a real man.

It does no longer have something to do with the Koran or the prophet Mohamed. truly it truly is the cultural policies that Mohamed preached against yet human beings nonetheless abide to the policies. It basically occurs in specific international locations the place it truly is a cultural coverage that a girl is valued like a canine. returned it is against what Mohamed mentioned. Any guy or lady that beats yet another kinfolk member isn't man or woman in my recommendations. some human beings use Christianity to abuse their different halves, is that justifiable in any faith?

Yes it can if she asks for it. And when I say "ask" I mean that she specifically requests a beat down. Some women enjoy being beat up by their husbands. Some even have low self esteem to the point where they feel that unless they are getting slapped around, they aren't really loved. I once dated a woman who would make crazy demands for me to slap her or to body slam her on the floor. Long story short- the relationship did not last.

Nonsense, there are no circumstances that warrant a beating and that includes Man, Woman or Child. And I think it is rather disgusting to say that we as a society would find it acceptable for a child to get a beating because I sure as hell dont!

You're kidding, right? I can't think of anything that a wife or husband could do to justify a beating. If you hate the person that much, walk out and leave. No need to assault them.

Maybe, people always try to justify things, even though this act would be criminal and immoral, but anything can be justified (as sad as it seems). For instance, here is a quote: When a man wants to murder a tiger, he calls it sport: when the tiger wants to murder him, he calls it ferocity. The distinction between crime and justice is no greater.
What do you think?
