I don't know what type of fraud you are referring to (ie tax fraud, SSI Fraud, ect.) What ever it may be.
You would probobly want to Google your terms, check FindLaw for the Public, SSI... What ever you want information on.
However, I know that most examples of "Fraud" can't be good.
But the definition of fraud differs from case to case.

Fraud encompasses a large number of scenarios. One can't state a reliable penalty for it. There are many variables such as: The kind of fraud, the number of victims, the amount of loss, other damages caused by the fraud, the defendant's criminal history, his/her attitude, restitution made or not, and much much more.
