Its now been 2 weeks without heat in a new place that I moved in. Its a new construction rehab building. The meters are all messed up and switched around. The gas company has been out 3 times and says that the meters are not labeled properly anymore and they cant turn on the gas. The building owner supposedly had marked the proper one but they came this morning and still could not get it on. Its freezing and my patience is gone, I want to take legal action now. Any advice on what my options are and who is at fault for this? Btw, this is in Chicago if that matters.

i was travelling on this highway and wanted to take a u-turn.
i saw this lane which had left only written on it but u-turn not allowed. so i took this left turn to go inside the lane and then come around. There were many trucks parked there and it was like any other road. Suddently the cop pulled over and gave me a ticket for entering private property.
he gave me a mandatory court appearance. also it was dark and there was not any sign which said that the road was private property and above all we had that left lane for turning especially for that.

Why do we need to create a rental agreement on a stamp paper?
Why isn't it okie if we make it on simple paper and both the parties sign on it?

Basically why we neccessearily have to use stamp paper for any contract or agreement?

I have been importing retail gifts from overseas since 2004. A particular item, nylon butterfly decoration, is mass produced abroad by literally 100's of factories. I import them. A US based company is sending threatening letters including copyright infringement claims regarding this item. Numerous businesses selling this product who purchased overseas also have received these letters.

I have spoken with the supplier of this US based company (who is sending out the threats) & the manufacturer states there is no copyright and that the designs are stock from the factory.

First, can an item be copyright protected that isn't original? If no, and this US company files for copyright protection, what are my options? Can I fight it? How?

Second, I only import. I have not had anything reproduced from this US based company. How would I be accountable if the item managed to be granted copyright protection?

Professional copyright knowledgeable answers only please. Sources appreciated.

if you upgraded our current 16in shells for the USS Wisconsin and the USS Iowa by replacing the explosive inside thier warhead with HMX or RDX from TNT, how much explosive force in pounds would you get since:
1. HMX has a 9,100 m/s explosive force.

2. RDX uses 8,750 m/s explosive force.

3. TNT uses 6,900 m/s explosive force.

Can anyone show me to some credible sources that show that the majority of illegal immigrants:
hurt the economy?
get free healthcare?
are on welfare?
are committing crimes (other than immigrating)?
steal the jobs of Americans?

Please do not give me isolated examples. I want statistics, if at all possible.

Also, why does it bother people that many of them speak Spanish?

When are they actually going to show any proof to support this. They keep trotting out this tired old lie of theirs that Bush lied about WMD, but ignore the fact Bill Clinton said and believed the same, why is it only a lie if a Republican says it but not a Democrat? Do they OK a lie from a Dem because they are blinded but call the same thing a lie from a Rep because they are so twisted with anger at their own country and President, they would rather hurt their own nation than stand together to defeat the terrorist's in time of War. I requested and got approved in May for a thanksgiving vacation. I was out of Paid time off. When i came back a week before xmas bonuses they fired me. They said everyday i was gone counted as an unexcused absence even though it was approved, so they gave me 5. I had 4 but the rule is termination after 8. So they said I have 9. Managers confirmed my vac. a couple weeks before and said you know your out of PTO right? I said yeah that just means i wont get paid for it and he said yes. I have a 4 month old baby boy. Okay it was over the Thanksgiving break when i went up to my cousins Place to drink. NOw , I had a few drinks over his place and went over his buddies place to drink some more. Now here is where it happens, We get back to the apartment And I find that I left my phone somewhere...
So i automatically Im halfway drunk but halfway concious of where i am , I do something really stupid ...and I got outside to look in my car for the phone..but unfornately with my key wouldn't work,

Suddenly out of no where the cops come and Automaticallly accuse me of trying to steal a car..But really ...it was my car....


But while they were talking to me .My cousins girlfriend comes and says' that she is responsible for me..
My question is They didn't give me a breathlizer but they claimed that I was drunk..So my thoughts are they have no proof......Of me being drunk ..>I got my citation from the cop about a week ago in the MAIL because they mailed me it.

Who thinks it's time for parents and physicians to find the real cause of depression among teenagers and young adults rather then pumping them full of anti-depressants and other meds!!! I'm a reservist that drill in new york. I have ask same question to many people, they have different answers for me. I'm knid of confuse now. Some people say reservist are more likely or have same % of chance as active that will get deploy. Some said reservist will be hard to get deploy. ( all the people i have asked are the NCOs in Marine Corps).

And how long will be the deployment last for? Some Marine tell me will be about 7 months, but some said it will be 13 months for reservist. I'm very confuse now. Could any one help?
