1 Corinthians reads Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. For he who eats and drinks in a unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself not discerning the Lords body. My question is, would it be ok?

After winning my personal injury case in court, I waited a year for the attorney to tell me there is no money. How can I check and see if all this is true? The defendents went bankrupt.

To me, Oprah shunned America's children when she opened a school in Africa for $40 million dollars. She said at the time that American kids didn't have that spark in their eyes and that all they wanted was clothes and video games. She turned her back on America's kids.
I think the $40 million she spent could have done some good for children in this country. I think she could have had some effect but she chose to help the kids in another country instead. What does that really say about her?
Now she backs Barack Obama, who is black and a member of a black church that "is unashamedly black".
Now, I'm not necessarily against all that, I just want to be clear on what Oprah's real agenda is for backing Obama. I suspect that Oprah is no more honest than George W. Bush when it comes to politics.

If Obama wins, I'm sure there will be a lot more aid going to Africa than previously. Oprah will want to cash in on her access to the president.

What do you think?

I mean we have been fighting Al-Qaeda since 2001, but no Bin Laden. Actually its not even official if he or Al-Qaeda we behind 9/11. BUt for some reason Americans are soooo convinced that Bin Laden is a danger to there children when you got Global Warming, mall/school shootings and a ultra-corrupt political system.
I would like to know who here actually refers to these two entities as being a serious threat to modern life.

Just a few days ago one youth shot-up a Christian Mission and then went on to shoot-up a Church . He left messages in notes and emails that he 'wanted to kill as many Christians' as he could . Not all violence is directed at Christians though . Many times it's directed in general at anyone in society . But there's also no denying that many many youths have targeted and shot classmates, teachers, family, parents, and acquaintances. And this is not something that occurred regularly before the 1980's or 1990's . The increase is astounding . The guns were far more easily attained BEFORE all of this too , so it can't be guns .
So what is it ? Selfishness? Greed? Molly-coddling our youth? Hate? ......... or maybe the obvious, the continued removal of God from many aspects of our society ?

Wait! Why the hell is Yahoo!Answers removing my game questions if I placed a warning that it contains some mature content? It's not like I posted the thing for the sole purpose of annoying or offending people. Hell, some people even requested me to do more of my "Would You Rather...?" questions. In addition to that, my poem, which was emulated from Allen Ginsberg's "Howl" was removed just because some over-zealous religious moralists don't agree with my point-of-view?

Don't you think it would be better if they just advertised up front who they were sponsored by, such as, "Rudy Guiliani, brought to you by the Exxon-Mobile Corporation", or "Hillary Clinton, sponsored by Glaxo Wellcome"?

Or should we let the "invisible hand of capitalism" fix everything?

My husband has been reffered for med board by his unit and doctor, for ptsd.. he has a consistent pickle score of 81 out of 85, and his doctor has commented on the severity of his ptsd. I was wondering how the disability works and what we should expect money wise, as I have a feeling finding a job won't be the easiest course. Also, his chain of command has told him he will be out of the army by next block leave...(june/july 2008) and if thats possible, I have heard of people being in the process for up to 2 years. I dont think prolonging this is in the best interest of my husband.

I put this into the politics division because this chart is a common chart used today to describe the markets...you will notice that the later years are squished tighter together. I'm wondering what the market conditions are under Bush compared to Clinton to Reagan...What factors are squishing the last few years? Is it volume traded? Is it the real value in 1970 Dollars? Help me understand this. Feel free to have opinions on the current state of our economy.

I want to sue d.c.f. and polk county for not allowing me my rights and costing me my kids for 10 months in foster care.I was not given a hearing or even allowed to go to court to defend myself ,the courts acted summarily. during that time thier grandfather and great grandfather both passed away and they were not even allowed to attend the funerals. To top it off, because of my kids being in foster care I lost my entire tax check (approx. $3000) for the year of 2006. I have been told by my lawyer for the d.c.f. case that once it was over to go after the system because I got screwed, but I'm finding it immpossible to get an attorney that either has the time or the balls to take on the system,......

Does Bush even know the meaning of the word "compromise"?
What happened to the "compassionate conservative" ?
Would his "favorite philosopher" Jesus Christ deny children access to Health Care?
Why does it have to be his way or no way?
Why are Republicans determined to help the RICH through war profiteering while ignoring the needs of the poor and middle class by vetoing SCHIP?

And before any of you Republicans try it, the SCHIP program NEVER would have covered "rich kids" or those who make $80,000 per year. And a two income family with four children bringing in $80,000 is nowhere NEAR being "rich." So keep your rhetoric and propaganda to yourselves. Thanks!
