1 Corinthians reads Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. For he who eats and drinks in a unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself not discerning the Lords body. My question is, would it be ok?

That's for the church to decide. Some churches are open to homosexuals, while others are very closed minded about it.

If your church is offering communion to openly gay members, and you disapprove, you can either try and change church policies, or find a different church.

The Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke also quote Jesus Christ as saying "Judge not, lest ye be judged." My point is this: It's not for us to say whether ANYONE who eats the bread or drinks of the cup is partaking in an unworthy manner. The Apostle Paul has put out the warning; now it's up to each person who takes communion to examine himself or herself before participating in The Lord's Supper. We'll never know just who is and is not partaking in an unworthy manner -- that's between the individual and God.

If Communion is a religious sacrament to you, you must be either Catholic or Episcopalian.

I know of no scriptural source for christians to support the belief that homosexuality is of any concern in a religious sense besides Leviticus.

While Leviticus forbids many MANY things, including shellfish, pork, and mixing meat and dairy products, I've never seen that Episcopalians or Catholics are particularly concerned with the dietary restrictions that are found in close proximity to the reference to homosexuality.

All or nothing. God isn't a smorgasbord where you get to pick and choose. In other words, if you want to say that homosexuals are going to hell, just don't say it while eating a Big Mac or a pork chop.

And how, exactly, are you going to prove that the guy standing before the priest or minister during services is a homosexual? If you can't prove it, should he not be allowed to partake? In fact, should anyone be denied the Lord to be taken in themselves? Couldn't the Lord work from within?

That is really the Church's decision, or more the Preacher/Priest or whoever is running it. If it was me in charge then I would say anyone who is practicing homosexuality wouldn't be allowed, but to the same token anyone having premarital sex or anything of that sort also shouldn't be allowed.

Then under your own beliefs, anyone who has ever lied to their mother can't take communion or anyone that has crossbred cattle or found someone other than their spouse attractive or had premarital sex..

In the Bible I read, we are warned to not be so concerned with the thorn in our neighbor's eye that we forget about the plank in our own. This is God's little way of telling us to leave the judging up to him. In fact, his word tells us to love each other regardless- it's not our job to say who's a sinner and who isn't.

It's unfortunate that people like yourself have to give all Christians a bad name.

Yes, it would be OK. All sin is equally abhorrent in the eyes of the lord. Is homosexuality a sin? Yes. Is it the unforgivable sin? No. God loves us all. Instead of worrying about someone sleeps with, you should worry about where they spend eternity. Preach the word of Christ to all. God gave us free will. Let them use it.

IANAC, but it's pretty clear that male homosexuality, and easily by extension, female homosexuality is frowned upon by the the Bible.
At the same time, if you illogically use the Bible metaphorically or ignore parts of it you could easily say that it should be fine.

Should a heterosexual who is having pre-marital or extra-marital affairs be able to take communion?

Should homosexuals who abstain from sex be barred from taking communion?
