I would like to see them wear outfits like NASCAR drivers. Then we would at least have some idea what is driving their words. The main sponsors would be prominently displayed and the lesser ones would be sleeve and leg patches. Nice ball caps with sponsor logos should also be required. Helmets during debates would be optional.

I am 100 percent for this plan. Politicians have to do what the corporation says or else they stop giving the politician money. If we could see which politicians were being supported by which companies, then we would know who to vote for and who not to. Any politician who is sponsored by oil companies or wal mart or monsanto would never get elected and then maybe the government might be able to pass legislation that actually benefits society as a whole as opposed to the upper 1 or 2 percent.

I'm all for it! Like someone else said, we need the NASCAR uniforms with the patches all over them to show who their "sponsors" are. We need more openness in government. The Bush Administration has been secretive enough, but it should end with them. Every politician from your local mayor up to Congressman, Senators and the President should have to divulge their Corporate Donors to the American people. And then when they pass legislation in favor of their special interest group, we know to not reelect them when their term is up. Doing what's best for the MAJORITY of Americans should be the only "special interest" our government has in mind.

Yes it would be more honest ,
But it will not change the fact that Democracy (specially US democracy) Have been Hijacked by the Media ,Professional Lobbists and corporates ,
USA is Demcracy Exporter to the world ,
So US people should have to take charge of their democracy , "if" their decissions are really in their own hands.

I think the fact that companies must be shadowy about it also gives the politicians some leeway to ignore any particular donor at his/her discretion.
Of course, I think a system where politicians were not allowed to spend money or need it to campaign would be better.

Why not? Dam good idea. At least we, the voters would know who these so-called representatives of the people actually do represent. Public & I mean public(like publish it in the newspapers) revealing of the contibuter list. Not hide it on an obscure web site. Like I said.........Dam good idea!

Sure why not. I like your idea. I think that it would be cool that Halburton would sponsored Cheney and Bush. But the problem would be that they both would still act like the jackasses that they are.

Yeah.. Something like how the Car Racers (F! etc) have umpteen number of labels stuck all over their body and their vehicle.
Atleast we know what the guy will say even before he opens his mouth.

Yes I think it would be honest for politicians to advertise their corporate sponsors. It took me a long time to find out that huckabee was pandering to socialists.
