can a place of employment fire someone who has a md note in new york state?????????

my husband was sick for 3 week and got pulled out of work by his doctor now his job wrote him up and now threating to fire him.he has worked there for13 years and never missed that much time.

depends on the terms of his contract, alot of jobs (gov/state) will attempt to terminate after so many years so they can get out of paying benifits upon retirement.

Yes. NY is an "employment at will" State. They can fire you for any reason not prohibited by law.
